lets hope so! Bit stuck for school and stuff now which is annoying, re booked but its for the end of october so I'm gonna try and get a cancellation within the next 2 weeks

Removed the Vindis decal off the rear, wasn't really feeling it. Definitely not feeling the L plates, grabbed a cancellation this month so fingers crossed I'll be driving soon

As far as I know all those budget ones on ebay are basically the same, just different colours. They're fine though really, i've had no problems with mine and i've had ones for a 6N2 and 9N.

Also for a bit of inspiration this is someones MK8 from around where I live (He might even be on here i dont know)

I was gonna try and lower it this year but seeing I'm on my dads multi car insurance that might be a bit difficult so for now just decorative changes!

Its great passing but please drive carefully, coming from somoene that did all that i know how you feel but the last thing you want is to crash it. Loose you car, loose cheap (ish) insurance and loose alot of confidence. Theres a time and a place for driving like a hoodlum so save all you money for track day experiance if you want something like that. plus it is great fun and BLOODY addictive!

Slowed it down today don't worry! Think it was just the initial adrenaline of finally being able to drive on my own yesterday haha

Hey guys, anybody know how much a new hand brake cable and replacement would cost? My girlfriend stretched the cable so now I have to pull it up as far as it'll go for it to work so I'm getting her to pay for a new one haha

mines literally jut bonnet and grill thats all looks way worse than it is i was doing like 5mph

gonna get some quotes from garages not gonna make a claim hopefully it'll be sorted soon! :(

I have to agree looks like alot of damage for 5mph. Don't worry about it too much the majority of us have crashed a car, unfortunately for you just not one thats this nice.

Looks like its going to cost you a small fortune to fix, sorry to say but just being realistic, with it being new there won't be many spare parts around. Also you might want to take a look at the bumper, headlamp and wing as something is definitely not right on that corner you might have snapped some brackets, however these might be fixable with a bit of epoxy if your on a budget.

Cheapest I've managed to get the whole lot down to is about £820 inc. labour, needs a new headlamp, radiator mount, grill, headlamp bracket and the wing needs fixing and painting. Found a headlamp on eBay for £30 so that saves about £90 opposed to getting it from VW
