hahaha no need to be a c*nt mate, if you read around you'll see I had no idea I was getting this and I didn't ask for it, I had saved up £6k myself from working and saving and my Dad used that and put

Looks good man. Howd you crash it just looking at the pics the bonnets gone but your bumpers fine? ha ...go under a lorry?

Thought id drop a comment as id seen your mates with mitch on facebook

plus cant believe how much shit youve got haha. Tbh someones said it before but what i always think is if they were given the choice of your car as a present, and the only if they would decline, then they have the right to have a go at you. Not gonna lie I'm a bit jealous but not a bad way!

Hit a 4x4 but it was their spare wheel i hit that did all the damage they got off unscathed. I think they claimed for whiplash though so I've got a claim down now :(

I know it's mad! It's mainly that polomon kid but he soon shut up haha

Not bad!

What wheels you going for eventually?

I like the boot badge, however would look pimp smoothed :)

I wouldn't complain if my dad got me a car, I would just ask for something faster than a 70bhp Polo :D

What's next? Lows?

Not too sure yet, not really properly looked at wheels yet as it'll be a while off, I might sell mine and put it on steelies for a while though.

The way it's going this thing could be lowered by the end of next month! (finally) I just rang my insurers and the increase will only be £45, I need £180 for the coilovers and so far I've got £140 so I'm nearly there now! Fingers crossed next payday will be generous

Also I wrapped the surrounds on my dashboard today doesn't look too bad.

I'm gonna re wrap my fog surrounds as they've got a few stone holes in, I was gonna do the wing mirrors but I think cause of the shape they'd be too difficult and probably would end up messing up

Gonna finally be a decent update soon! Ordered my coilovers today :)

So bit of an incident today, this time it wasn't actually my fault. I was parking outside the front of my school and I indicated to park at the side of the road in front of another car. Next thing I know I hear a crunch and the woman parked up had driven into the side of my car as she was pulling off. I got out the car and she immediately admitted she hadn't looked when she pulled out and she saw my indicator was on afterward and that she didn't indicate, there was a dent in my car but here got off pretty much unscathed. So I ring up my insurers after taking details and photos to sort out the claim, but when the guy rang her up she has now claimed that I scraped her car when it was stationary so at the moment the libability is split. As it was outside my school the only 2 witnesses who confirmed she pulled out into me went to my school so are not classed as independent so the likely outcome is I am gonna have to pay for repairs as my excess is £1000 and I don't want another claim and this bitch is gonna get off scott free with a few scratches. All in all not happy.

Sorry to hear this mate, its always the way when you finally order coilovers they are cursed!

Id rather pay the damage than the excess, when its your renewal i'd reduce it to £500, doesnt make any difference when its over £500 I think.

Really like the new Polo's, personally I think VW went down hill wih Polo's after the MK2f but they've certainly made up for it with the 6R!

Lovely looking car and I'm glad to see your doing your own thing with it, dont listen to these fuck wits and there petty little comments, there just a bunch of belends that need to grow up and grow a pair, bet they wouldnt say these sort of things face to face with other people about! Perfect example of keyboard warriors!

Anyway mate keep up the good work!

Thanks guys

So some good news, somebody submitted details to the school who saw the crash so I rang my insurer and gave them the witnesses details so it should all sort out! Still another incident on my record though so my insurance will go up :(

Haven't told my dad that I've bought coilovers yet either cause I owe him a lot of money so I think he'll be even less impressed now haha. Was hoping to get them on for stanford but after this it's looking unlikely! :(

Thanks for the advice! My renewal is June so I'll check it out :)

Liking it, and you've ordered coilies, top man! I wouldn't worry about the damage bud, fix it your self and then go round hers with a baseball bat and you know the rest. ;) (If that happened to me my dad would have done it as soon as she split the blame) Lmaoo. Polo's looking good bud. Keep up the good work. :)

Haha I can't lie I was pretty tempted to! Until I got a witness that is, now her insurance is paying I think I'm gonna just replace the whole wing, it's right on the arch crease so banging it out might be noticeable later on so I figured I'm not paying so I might as well get it done properly! Gonna have to wait about 3 weeks till I get it done though.

Few little updates too, I swapped out my standard license plate lights for LED ones, think it looks quite smart. My coilovers should arrive in the next couple of days, planning of fitting them next Saturday in time for the Stanford show. I also re wrapped my fog surrounds as they had a few stone chips, gonna try and do my wing mirrors tomorrow. Next payday I'm gonna buy a few little goodies, planning on getting some pressed plates, some chrome indicator bulbs to clean up the headlights, HID kit and LED side light bulbs and a few new stickers.

Should tidy it up a bit before I can afford some new wheels, I'm hoping to get some 18" BBS LM replicas maybe, either that or porsche twists I'm undecided at the minute, think the split styles look pretty good on mine http://files.vau-max.de/images/2011/10/55-...ing-chipn-1.jpg

Hopefully things should start moving a bit quicker through the summer so I'll be bringing you some better updates!

HIDs are gonna be illegal soon so i wouldnt bother

  • Author

Think they already are but I figured since I have a new car the police will probably just assume they're OEM xenons. I'm not getting a HID kit just a set of replacement 5000K bulbs for all the front lights for £15. I'll keep my old bulbs just in case!

Porsche twists would look awesome! Somehow I can't help but think some concave wheels would look really good on this! :)

HID's are MOT Fail. If police stop you and notice you have HID's you will get a driving conviction with a car that is not road legal. Basically like driving with out a valid MOT. Your best off getting the 5000K and save your money and licence. Coilovers look good bud, what make are they?

  • Author

Ah okay that's cool I was planning on just getting the 5000k bulbs anyway, loads cheaper £15 for all of my lights inc. fogs!

The coilovers are TAs, ordered them from Germany on Tuesday to save a bit of cash, put me back £179.

I rang my insurers and it's £45 for two months with my car lowered up to 50mm but I wanna go lower, do you reckon it'd cost much more to go 50-120mm?

i really like this polo, good colour. shame you binned it pretty quickly, but hey atleast you got the money to get it fixed. although, i cant help thinking at 17 you may have been better picking a car that doesn't matter if you trash it, seeing as youve had 2 incidents in a short space of time, no offence.

pretty sick present though who wouldnt want one. dont make it ricer PLEASE, ease up with the carbon wrapping just a little before the whole things covered and you have a spoiler and what not  yes it will cost a fair amount more because then you arent lowering it slightly, you're slamming it to the ground.

If your with admiral or elephant all they'll insure you is down to 50mm well that's what elephant said to me :/ so I'm going 50mm until I change insureres

the difference between 50mm, 60mm, and even 70mm is minor. as in, if you crashed and then inspected, its unlikely theyd notice the extra few mm. you'd have already said its lowered. could always blame it on budget springs/coilies

or a budget tape measure

This one wasn't my fault! ;) haha I am actually a good driver now, learnt from my mistake. Don't worry it won't be ricer, the only carbon wrapping that's noticeable really is on the badges, the fogs you can't really tell.

Really? I'll call them soon. I might just slam it anyway and raise it if I have any other bumps before inspection. If it's a write off situation (touch wood I won't experience) I'll hope they get mangled in the accident haha. I think Admiral might let me go lower than 50, when I called he asked how low and I said up to 50mm cause I know from running quotes theres the up to 50 and 50-120 groups

Really?!^ no offence I stuck up for you but that last statement makes you sound like a knob, what your doing is fraud, and you hope they get mangled up?! It would have to be quite a serious accident which you shouldn't wish for.

It was said in jest, obviously I'm not wishing for an accident. I'm pretty sure I can go lower than 50mm on my insurance anyway so I will be declaring it.

Also, bit late but heres a few photos from the dirty stancing meet

(hopefully this photo will be the other way around next time  )
