the tribute to the e type was brilliant

This alone proved why Top Gear is better than Fifth Gear.

Fifth Gear also did an E-Type tribute thing, but it was just Jason and that useless skinny dude driving a ropey old hard top version the same journey as that test driver did to the motorshow. The car they used A was the wrong one and B broke down then Jason pissed in the radiator. How can you class that a proper tribute?

Top Gear did it correctly. They got THE car that was driven over to the show. The very one, notice it was a soft top not the hard top.

And he did a proper british tribute with fly bys by spitfires and everything!

Please remember that compared to Top Gear, Fifth Gears budget is a pittance.

Still doesn't excuse Plato from pissing in the Jags radiator.

Fifth gear doesnt matter, its on channel five.

i doubt he actually pissed in it.

ads noticed that top gear missed the mk5 out in their line up!

Haven't had a chance to see it yet but I see the vauxhall Chevette got a mention and according to a user on the Chevette owners club... "Personally I thought their sarcastic comments were bloody disgusting & offensive"...

Some people really need to get a grip of themselves tbh. I hope the top gear crew are looking on there looking for an excuse to drop a piano on a Chevette, it would be worth it just to watch this muppet have a break down over it

well just in case you haven't seen it still they say there is only one of a particular trim/engine combo and that like the victorians would they should hunt it down, shoot it and put its head on the wall as a trophy

Is that all they said about it? What's disgusting and offensive about that? :?

Some people just seem to get annoyed about shit just for the sake of getting annoyed

Why did no one use the Polo GTi !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

"Jesus Christ"

Got to say, i'd take the fiat

I'd want the DS3

Why did no one use the Polo GTi !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(

Would have to be a Polo R to keep with the theme??

The DS3 was the Racing, the Clio was the Cup and the 500 was the EsseEsse of the Abarth - all 'hardcore' variants of the cars

Didn't really like any of them.

This is true... Is it even out yet ?

DS3 all day, lovely cars (even the standard ones)

Only shitroen id happily go and buy if i had the dollar.

Polo R doesn't even exist atm

Due next year according to Autocar website

I have a thing for 500s, especially the Abarth and EsseEsse editions...def not cabrio though!

Tempted to pick up an old 126, I saw a few when I visited Slovakia a little while back, great little looking car IMO, and obviously of sporting credentials - rear engine, rear wheel drive

Was kinda what I was getting at tbh - if it did exist, maybe they would have used it...but I doubt it cos it's (the Polo in general) a lil grown up - the cars used are 'cheeky' if you get my thinking

Thought Hammond's peugeot impressions and the growler bit were quite funny

It was pretty awesome they got to go round Monaco, bet they were proper bricking it to start with though!

Ross Noble was well funny too :-D

Great episode, Ross Noble was awesome as always.

lol meatloaf

DS3, hate them too chavvy and in your face. I'd have the fiat out of that lot if i HAD to choose.

Them 197's are pretty slow mind not what i'd class as a hot hatch.

I cant get the 1 M series out my head from last weeks! Want one soooo bad.
