Debating weather to do this to the coupe or not.

Like having the rear seats though, looks far tidier IMO!

But... i dont need seats.

Eurgh

You need a cage dude 8-)

Yess mate this is sweet! :-)

Definitely need to weld in a brace to loop your harnesses round/ attach to.

What seats you running?

i quite like having rear seats aswell but cant really have buckets and rear seats. I think its gonna be tidy when I've got it all trimmed up and another reason for it is that i can throw my bike in the back of her when i go riding in summer without taking it to bits. having a cage or even just a rear strut brace would make that not possible so its kinda why i havnt gone down that route.

You should cage yours! thought it was supposed to be some track weapon or at least inspired so having back seats is pretty ghey. Get caged!

not anymore it isnt lol. Now I'm getting rid of the breadvan I'm not going down that route with the coupe.

Its going silly low on PLS, wont be ideal for on track.

I still want a rear cage though, aswell as the seats haha.

Get a bike rack, like i have :unibrow: Dash it on the roof, job done!

so its gonna be fast, un-trackable with a cage and rear seats and a roof rack. I think you need to assess where your projects going lol

I arnt a big fan of racks so that wont be an option for me. i might just give up biking and put a cage in lol

Well, I'll only rock a rack when I'm using it. I'm not one of those dickheads that runs them all the time..

i could use it on a track, more than i could a road because it will be smooth lmao. But its not going track orientated.

And a cage, just cause they look sick. But i wouldn't wanna be one of those dicks with a show cage, show I'd buy a proper cage haha

I'm gonna make one out of cardboard tubes and masking tape cuz I'm skinnttz and its will look well sick init. You need to pull your finger out with yours anyway, I havnt seen much progress as of late :)

got this done in my coupe its alot better than seats got a sub box and some 6x9s cut into it really good not much bass though as its not sealed properly

Your ok, you get what looks like a nice juicy unit to work in

Also, i cant even move mine as i have no front suspension or anything.

And its progressing, slowly. Soon it will all be like BANG BANG BANG loads of progress in a short period ;)

I'm getting all excited over split bolts atm :ninja:

oh yeah PLS with gold bolts will look sick i reckon, swear I've seen it done before somewhere lol. have you had to wait ages for shipping?

To be honest I'm really lucky to have a massive shed to keep my cars in, got to thank my dad big time for building that :)

Not keen on the brace idea as i wont be able to get my bike in with that thing in the way you see.

Seats are corbeau gt seats or something like that, they were a bargain because some old bloke must of had em lying around for years and took a shoddy photo of them so they didnt look that great on the advert but after a good clean they come up real nice

I'm not having gold bolts..... :ninja: Gold and orange just doesn't work, like at all

I've not bought um yet... its on my massive shopping list, somewhere near the end though. As getting it rolling and running is my priority.

I did abit more at the bay the other day to try and get it all looking tastey. I think this is this last piece that will be colour coded as I'm quite happy with how it looks now

whipped the tb off

IMGP1094.jpg

give it a good clean and smoothed abit of the texture off it and painted her up but for some reason i didnt paint the bit where the boost pipe attaches, I'm sure i had a reason for it when i masked it up but i cant remember why lol so ill probly end up doing it agian

IMGP1095.jpg

Stuck it back on and i think it looks pretty good, i just need to get some proper out in the daylight pictures instead of the cave that it lives in

Throttle body looks good man.

And it's true what the guy said about rear brace, the harnesses are incorrectly mounted atm, apparently if you're in an accident it will do more harm than good, will pull you downwards and could crush your spine (this is the understanding i have from it anyway) or you could mount them to the rear turrets for more of a proper angle :) (think in FIA regulations it's not meant to be more than 15 degrees or something? Not saying that this has to comply with FIA regs, but it's just what's safe)

Lovely project man, would love a G myself

This is correct - mounted that low you'll risk compressing your spine in an accident. I'd fit a rear strut brace for the harnesses and slip your bike underneath it as needed...

Now we all like a good pikey mod every now and again especially when it comes to the notorious polo exhaust hangers but i wasnt to keen on how someone had done this as it just rattles against the axel all the time and doesnt look to clever either.

IMGP1097.jpg

so after recently gaining a welder to the garage i decided to have a bash at making a new hanging method for it. basicaly i just welded a hook on each end of some angle steel then welded it to the car. agreed its no show jobby but i managed to get it sitting perfect and that bitch aint going nowhere now

IMGP1103.jpg

IMGP1107.jpg

i would post a pic of the other hanger but the weld isnt too tidy what with being new to the game and all but it does the job

Gave her a wash and put her to sleep again
