Sold my mk2 about 2 weeks ago and immediately got searching for another polo, looking on the internet looking for either a mk3 or 6n and found this.

So i bought it.

Its done 91k, central locking, lowered on coilovers, mot'd till october, taxed till september, alprine door speakers, black interior, green steelies, red rear lights.

The bodywork isnt the best but theres no rust on it, although a few little dents and scratches.

BAD BITS :

Seems the key doesnt fit in the boot so i cannot open it

The passenger side electric window doesnt move up or down

the drivers side barrel has came out but still have it.

Does anone know what roughly these problems will cost to fix?

Plans:

Plans at the moment are to get the problems fixed before modifying the car. Also getting it tidyed up befor ethe polo show.

After that I wish to maybe MILSPEC it as I've not really seen any 6n's before that have been milspec'd (although i bet there has been). I've been inspired by the the green steelies to milspec it. :)

Or go down the Euro route! :p

cheers mate well wanted to hear that. Problem with the mk2 was the ride was way too hard needed something smoother plus i wasnt willing to pump money into it.

So after a long week working many many hours I had 3 things to look forward to :

Getting paid

Getting insured

Going polo show

After waiting for almost a month for enough cash to insure my ar I finally got it at 11.15am Saturday 30th July. A few hours before the midlands convoy set off at Corley (or was supposed to set off) :).

Next plans are to try and get a pair of 16v bumpers, drop the front a bit and try and find some deep dished banded steels.

Also has anyone got any photos of my car a poloshow (doubt you have because let's be honest there were plenty more cars you would rather have taken a photo of or a rolling shot?????

Decided to go down the dub/euro route bit boring I know but seems a little easier on the wallet lol.

Who knows might change my mind.

So i have an update

got some mk1 golf bandeds for her last weekend and put them on. All looked fine until i started driving and I could hear a grinding sound form underneath. I thought something had collapsed like a wishbone or something but nothing had it was because the car was sitting so low. :)

They are a staggered det 7.5j front 8j rears!

The tyres are 175/50/13, but instead of get a set of larger profile tyres i might just swap for a set of 14inch or 15inch rims so if anyone is interested in swapping pm me!

aswell as getting rims I'm after a set of valver bumpers and a bootlid in black if anyones got one for sale get in touch with me.

Yeah I love the look of them on it. But as in the picture it's was running way to low it was indriveable. My Mates got 13 inch superlites with either 175/55/13 or 165/55/13 can't remember he's running slightly higher but he's damaging his steering arm.

Yeah very difficult to drive I forgot to mention I did the best part of 50 yards then got it back on jacks and put the normal steels on :)

looks mint!!! just move your power steering hose into the bottom piece of your splitter. I ripped mine clean out when mine was on 13's and those hoses are/were about £130ish from vw. I managed to source one and fitting it was literally a nightmare! not being sad or trying to sound like your old man, but trust me for the sake of a 10min job, you can save yourself from a nightmare! the last picture shows how close it is already!

fair bit higher then yours, but still looked sweet imo :)

If you on about them there still in, I think I will put them back on it just means a whole day pissing round with the coilies getting it sitting right.

little update went to unite cruise midlands on sunday and managed to get on the fast car website. Dont know how it managed to happen but Manyey told me they were taking some but never believed him. I was at burger king at the time lol.
