Sorry more late replying. Its a shame car dealers are like this. I was thinking about it today and why do people pay more for full vw service history. Presumably they do the job properly then??? I suspect not and people just naively believe they do. My car has full vw history bar one service which was done at another garage using vw parts. Ill get it serviced at vw in feb to keep the stamps vw I think.....woohhoo more bullsh*t about what I need to come I suspect, courtesy of their "free" inspection??
