What you mean is they were started after the police did their job.

They saw a threat which was a danger to them and others and they neutralised it.

The threat was real as has been proved, the guy shot did have a loaded weapon.

And the police are still doing a cracking job now, but these 15 year old 'protesting' yobs just can't get into their thick skulls that they are doing a job for the good of everyone.

Bringing the military in would be a bad move I think, firstly for the look of the country. Having to use our military to control our own people doesn't look great when next year we intend to host the olympic games. Also the military are trained for front line battlefield situations not controlling a bunch of 15year olds. Also it could make the whole problem worse as these kids will just continue to think they are all in a big game of GTA and their star level has now reached 5 stars.

This is what pisses me off the most about this, week in week out you get families and friends of 'innocent' black lads bitching about how the police didn't do enough to stop their kid from being killed by a rival gang. Yet when the police do do some thing to stop black on black crime this happens. The police had been informed that he was going to shoot some one, a surveillance operation seemed to back this up and this was why the police swooped on him. We now know he had a loaded gun which means what the police suspected was more than likely true and they probably saved some ones life, yet what thanks do they get? It seems that they can not do right for doing wrong.

Toby posted a good video on his fb yesterday showing about ten riot police holding off what looked like a couple of hundred arseholes until back up arrived, every time the old bill charged at them the whole group shit themselves and ran like cockroaches

as previously stated by others, I don't normally agree with Guy on some of his rants, but on this subject he seems to hit the nail on the head.

All this was meant to hit my area last night (thanet) between 6-12, wake up this mornin and nothin happend. The worse thing that happened was the was a fire the size of you hard in a primark and then people turned that in to the whole place went u..so many people makeing shit up round here it unbelievable!

Yeah, amount of people that came into my work yesterday saying stuff had happened up town, when it hadnt

It was worse than i though, but people were making out asif the entire place had been ruined, was just a couple of broken windows and bellends being bellends

I been following thewestlondon news feed, gives minute by minute news posted it in the other thread till it disappeared. Anyway nothing much in sutton, purley way or croydon mostly places boarded up like pc world, currys, comet but new-addington was brewing. We Drove after a squad car then ended up driving through hundreds of people milling about outside a youth center with coppers on dirt bikes but nothing much though looked like they were waiting for someone to do something.

Heard about the asian dudes who were killed shame and well might kick off later who knows

Kurfew... followed by "shoot to kill"... DONE!

There is an e-petition on the go.

It wants anyone who is on benefits caught in any form of criminal activity during the riots to have their benefits taken away.

Unfortunately the site has had so many views it has crashed and its very hard to sign just now, its up to over 60,000 signatures just now though and it only needs 100,000 to apparently be put forward to the commons.
