In the 6n, How easy was it to pull out the center console trim? I want to do mine but i want to match it to the colour of my car

Umm nooo actually... bought it at Modified Nationals .. 1mx1.5m roll for £15.. not expensive stuff like!

ohhh righttt sorry i thought you ment the big surround (that i haven't wrapped)

Umm.. pull the heater cover off (just pulls out), then unscrew the window switch panel underneath with the right torque bit :) then the heaters anna pull out also..

£15 for a 1x1.5m roll from Modified Nationals (car show) have a look on ebay :) loads on there

Just made sure that the surface was clean.. if theres any dash/silicone spray on there then it will not stick at all..

But in all fairness it wasnt too bad.. the headlight switch was a pain (hence the crap finish) but the centre was easy peasy!!

It's not on a 6N so I won't clutter up the thread, but I've wrapped a load of my dash bits this weekend

I used 3M Di-Noc and it's surprisingly easy to work with, quite thick and rigid but as soon as you put some heat over it it becomes very workable and you can stretch it a bit too.

Agreed the 6n2 is a far more attractive interior... BUT.. to me.. it looks like it belongs in a transit van.. its the most horrible feel to a car interior ever.. cheep plastic. 6n interior may look a bit less appetizing to have but it just feels so much better

How did you paint the steering wheel horn buttons? did you have to take them off the wheel?

Haha it's a wonderful luxury up here in Sweden

As a matter of fact I don't know, it was the last owner who did all the work. I'll ask him but my guess is he removed it like he did with everything else in the interior. It's a nice touch but I'd personally never bother to do it myself so one can just be thankful :)

After posting all this carbon stuff.. I'm getting a full 6n2 dash & doorcard convertion.. will consider the wrap again.. but.. more considering flocking! Black with red centre

Most people won't like this but i do which is why i did it, £7 for a book of stickers and about 30mins and it brightens up the dash haha

I've double dinned mine, but i didn't cut out the heater vents. I've only got a half finished picture but i'll post it..

I'm mid way through re-building it so i can get the gauges for my bags in there too, will post another pic once its done.

I been thinking about a double din for some time now, but taking out the heaters instead :)
