Polo 16v Turbo 158 Bhp 173 Lb-ft Torque

Featured Replies

Love how youve gone to town on this! :)

What sort of power you expecting? Surely if turbo'd G's are like 170ish youll piss 200?

people throw turbos on 1.6 16v fiesta's completely standard and get well in the 200's, surely you could achieve 300?

What boost you intending on running?

Glad you all like. External actuator has a 15psi spring installed. But can be turned up more with a boost controller. I'm happy with anything over 200. Hopefully when I phone tuning garage on monday they will be able to get it in sometime early the following week. Shouldn't be to bad as the garage it going to they mainly deal with dta ecus. Need your opinions launch control or not and advantages and disadvantage as the ecu I just got has the function the to be setup at the switch of a button. Cheers dan

15psi? Go moarrrrrrrrrrr, you want whiplash everytime it comes on boost

Am i the onyl one who thinks that manifold looks cowboy-ish....... maybe it just me!!

Apart from that its nice to see someone doing it on thier own!! well done fella

Manifold looks a little strange i hope it doesnt crack your welds, and screamer pipes are shite possibly the worst sound ever. Nice work though.

I agree manifold doesnt look the best but at end of day I made this whole set up in my back shed. And as for screamer pipe never really heard one so if it doesnt sound good I can just run it back into the exhaust. Dan

1st run on rollers 2day 157.9 bhp 173lbs of torque at 5 psi and 5000 6000 rpm for 1st set up.

and hopefully all being well should defo be at clubpolo

dan

how did you lower the compression mate I'm sure youve put but it earlier but cba to look I'm looking at going for a decomp plate and if you have done the same what thickness did you go for and what cr did it drop yours to

and looking good so far I'm hoping for 200bhp on mine when i finally get down to turboing it I'm going a diff route with ecu as i was going to go megasquirt but think I've found alot easier way and need to sort a turbo manifold out aswell not sure whether to use a standard cast one and make an adaptor plate to change from the down pipe bolting to a k03 flange or fully make myself a log type manifold

hopefully get a better look at this at poloshow too il come down for a day to see everyone

and get an over the top engine bay pic too so i can have a look at the whole engine setup please :)
