Nice work, hope it comes together. Good to see your doing this properly. Also good to see its all your own work

What wideband kit have you used with your MS?

Ian.

Wow, that looks impressive - bit of a dumb ass question, but what is Megasquirt?

Seen it mentioned a few times in builds I have read in PPC and it looked interesting and a "fun" project to do for some experience.

Megasquirts a brand of standalone ecu people buy for tuning when turbo's are added. you can run them with n/a aswell though

Hum sounds like its a good bit of kit then. Might have to invest in one myself!

Just thought I would do a small update. And let you all know that the project is still on going and will deffo be at the polo show freshly mapped. I have finally found a company that will make me some piston rings so one of my pistons is getting posted of tomorrow so I can have a fresh set of rings in. Will also be checking the head over make sure the stem seals are ok if not will be getting replaced on next day of. I have the new head gasket ready to get put back together just need my rings and a new cam belt then its just back to getting everything squashed back in the engine bay haha. Then towing car up to local preformance garage to have the megasquirt wired in and mapped. Ill put some pics up soon of her sat in the garage looking all sorry for her self. Just cant wait to drive it. New Update and pics for you all soon. Also if anyone know of where I may be able to get my hands on a turbo manifold for the afh engine let me know. Cheers dan

Cheers dude means alot. Thats why wanted to do it something a little different. Internal work looking about a grand as pistons are custom made. Glad you like it will be at a few shows this coming year so you can see it in the flesh and as I have done all the work my self I am happy to have a chat about it. Cheers dan

No worries man! What makes it all better is it's a DIY build! I'm gonna try best to finish my mk1 and get to as many shows as possible so I'll try catch up with you then! For some Reason I've always imagined this setup in a mk1 caddy,

Small update as you now know thanks to bland not much happened as been in hospital. And mobility been a little tricky but I'm on the mend now. Pistons have arrived and just bought myself some nice new files so I can get the correct ring end gap. Also the new top rings are gapless just thought I would add that. As for the charger mount it is an original g40 mount cut down and modified to bolt on top of the alternator bracket so nice and sturdy ill take a few pics of her current state tomorrow as I'm round there doing the rings. Update tomorrow with pictures. Also car will be done for polo show I just hope they have the rr there again would love to show it on the roller. Does anyone know if they are there again this year? Cheers dan
