Got the back sitting pretty nice, but have got a bit of reverse rake so need to wind the rear coilovers up a touch. (on the lookout for front coilys....)

Also removed the center box on the exhaust and welded in a straight pipe instead with some scrap exhaust piece we had lying around. (Sounded awesome with no silencers on haha)

Sounds a tiny bit louder with it removed, was a surprised really.

Then this happened...

I'll have to get the mrs' to take some with her fancy camera instead of just phone pics lol

But yeah, I'm rather pleased with it atm. Its what was missing. (the wheels)

Having another play with the bikecarbs atm, somethings broke on the carbs, (fuel inlet/outlet nipple snapped) do I've finally got someone to sort this for who knows about them, so there getting picked up tomorrow so should be sorted soon. As a bonus once I've got them back on the car and hopefully running, hes gonna come balance/tune them so should hopefully be sorted this week.

Shit myself worrying I wouldnt be able to get another throttle cable as mine was on its last legs and it snapped last night, but hopefully a replacement should be with me tomoz so happy with that aswell.

Heres a pic of them trial fitted with my low pressure facet fuel pump plumbed in etc..

Managed to get it to run for a few seconds using carb cleaner as fuel lol. Gonna sound pretty sweet.

Well thats it so far, back to reading the FAQ's on bike carbs :ninja:

cheers bud.

Struggling with the throttle on the bike carb conversion atm. Cant figure out a way of connecting it to the actual pedal. I've tried a few stupid ideas that just dont work lol Half tempted to just use the brake cable (off a bike I've got hooked up to it for now) with my hand pulling it through the window just to test them out haha Soon as I've sorted that I can set them up properly.

Also on the lookout for a GT head complete with cam if you know of any going? Or even a a full GT engine if its cheap enough lol

Getting myself in trouble with the mrs quite a bit atm so may have to ease up on all the faffing I've been doing recently.... spent another 4hrs on it tonight and haven't really acheived anything

use a bmx brake cable.

fit an electrical cable connector block over the cable, then loop the cable round the pedal and back into the block, then tighten it. takes a bit of adjusting but worked fine on mine untill i did it the proper way by relocating the cable through a different part of the car and then attaching half way up the pedal so i got full travel

also, it sounds bloody awesome btw

Cool. I'l try that for now but I've discovered what grungeisdead used, so gonna order them from fastroadcars.co.uk

Once thats sorted can get them balanced and start playing with jets/timing. Also need to get a regulator as its overfueling drastically lol

I need to make a blanking plate for where the mechanical pump used to be as I dont want it there doing nothing..

So if anyones happens to have a template they could send me, just because as stated, I'm at work all the time, come home play with the car and then end up arguing with the mrs so need to leave it alone for a few days methinks...

It does sound pretty sick, cant wait to hear it under load and see what performance gains it has over my weber.

(done the conversion mainly just to tinker and for the noise lolz)

yah mon. A weber pedal block same idea as the electrical connection so i picked one of them up today, a new bike cable and a blue sheath thats matches the silicon joiners lol. Hope I can sort it tomorrow. Dying to have a go with them on lol

Got it all running, think I've got an airleak and they need balancing etc but my god the noise is addictive!

Its a hell of a lot quicker the throttle response is nice and crisp, but as said the noise is mental!

Tinted my indicators last night.

Got quite a few runs but could do with a new set of lights anyway.
