I just spliced them into the ignition wires rather than putting them into the cars fuse box

No reason to run the charcoal canister I guess, I just left it there for OEM scene points

I'm about to take the head to be pressure tested and skimmed. I've just noticed the previous owner was running it without a thermostat due to the over heating issues he was having with it.

My custom flywheel removal tool. Knocked this up in 10 minutes out of an old exhaust spacer plate from a golf 2.0.

A shot of my head after it came back from the machine shop yestarday. Nice and smooth and passed the compression test. happy days!

Stripping out the head. I had a right mare getting the valve collets out. they're gonna be solid to get back in !! Tonights Job is to clean up all the valves, wash out the head, and attempt fitting the valve stem seals. From what I remember, they come out in bits, but the new ones press on quite smoothly with a 12mm socket

Today I went to GSF to get the head bolts, and had a nightmare finding them. the chap really couldnt find them. we found the ones from an AVY which are longer, also found some which were the right length but different thread (m9 I think), but no AFH bolts. Does anyone have the part number for them for either GSF or Eurocarparts, as I've just come out of the dealers and they want 7.80 EACH for them and theres no way in hell I'm paying that!!

I got mine from ECP, they had no problems.

Gsf would, but just can't seem to find the right ones..

And I'm being a numpty and can't find the bolts on the ecp to order them online.

Anyone with a factory afh mind giving up their reg for me to get these please? :)
