Comments: Hi this was my first polo and my first car, bought it back in 2006 for £350 with full service history with about 70k on it with a new clutch new head gasket etc 2 weeks before I bought it :) I had this car for about 3 yrs then I bought a polo gti 6n2 and then sold this car in 2009 to a work colleague in his 50's. I then bought a polo saloon which I had as a run around while keeping the gti mint, I then sold this to vdubjay whois on here then I traded in the gti @ audi to get a tt in 2010 which I love :) I had a mk3 astra for a while as a runaround then I sold it. Then in June 2011 I bought this beauty back for £275 :)

Although the mechanical parts were spot on apart from a service the exterior was showing its age !

Few pics of how it stands now :)

Looks lovely, any other plans other than lowering it and getting the wheels done?

Has this been at BVF a few times? If it's the one I think it is it's a concourse winner isn't it?

looks abnormaly high up at the front ?

Looks great... apart from the suspension. It does seem that for standard suspension is way too high.. it might be worth a quick poke around :)

Thanks to all I haven't took the car to any shows however I want to next year :) The car is really mint and has a lot of potential but I want to keep her as standard as possible. The front suspension was replaced last year but the car has always sat at this height even with the original suspension

Many thanks Ryan

My first coupe was an f plate grey coupe s, loved it and regretted selling it.

nice coupe s as you say its a minter keep it totally std

I think the car actual looks higher than it is due to the photos I have taken !

Not sure. It does look far too high. Do you know if it has had suspension work done? It wouldnt suprise me if someone had replaced the top mounts, but left a part of the original in there. They used to be in 3 parts before the changed them to single piece units

Regardless, its a lovely example. A nice suspension drop on some good quality components would do it a favour

Hi yeah the front shock absorbers were replaced about a year a go so may be worth a look :)

Thanks

Not much of an update on this but it's still standard and looking clean. I still need to sort the suspension out !!
