And Fitted:

IMG_0211copy.jpg

Needed a crash helmet for drifting at Norfolk Arena,so purchased one of these:

IMG_0198.jpg

Also purchased a Hard Top roof spoiler. Usually these are imported from the U.S but someone in the UK has designed their own and has started to sell them. I was lucky enough to be 1 of 5 to get one from the first batch. These photos are from the original sale topic so you can see what it'll be like. (I've received mine, just need to get the Hard Top painted before fitting it)

Also ordered myself a GoPro HD Hero to help capture my drifting and some other stuff :) Also bought Adobe Premier Elements 9 to help edit the videos :)

Always had a thing for these mx5's :)

Have fun in the snow?

  • Author

Shes been tucked up the drive since the snow has come. I think the welded diff would be mental in the snow. With the next drift event in under 2 weeks time,i thought it was best to not go and have some fun incase i hit something or someone hits me :(

Well this is awesome!

It looks like so much fun! Good on you for getting a GoPro too, the vids come out great!

UAZ: a good solid Belfast reg

Evening Mike!

Thank you for the kind words :) I knew the plate was Irish but never knew where abouts it was registered. I was gonna get it changed to a UK one,but that would be boring, and i quite like it now :)

A slightly boring update i'm afraid:

Fitted my new number plate bracket,as i bent the other one (oops...!)

Another epic day at Norfolk Arena! Was definately alot better this time round! Weather held out till lunch time then the heavens opened up,which certainly made things interesting!

The day was going very well untill some dickhead in a Yellow E36 decided to drive into me. I was taking a line on the outside of the track and he was in the inside,i went into the kidney corner and spun, and he hit me straight on. I'm fine, walked away with no injuries, but the car needs work as you can see...

Superlites look sweet. Love this car! Ever thought about putting the arch trim kit on it? Reckon it'll look good

Gutted about the crash man!

Small update!

Rear lights fitted before and after

IMG_0002.jpg

Both fitted

IMG_0008.jpg

Started work on the wing removal. Managed to get majority of the wing free except 1x 10mm nut by the door hinge and 3x 10mm nuts inside the wing (nearest the headlight). After using ratchet extensions, heat gun, loooads of WD40 the damn things wouldnt budge.

The wing was no good anyway,so out came the tin snips and i cut the damn thing off! With aid of some mole grips to stop the spinning bolt head, the wing was off!

IMG_0031.jpg

Then had the same isses on the other side. Apprently the bumper needs to come off to remove the wing, but without removing 2 outta 3 of the 10mm nuts, the bumper wasnt coming off!

Alot of swearing later, the bumper was finally off! Who ever designed the MX5 needs to be shot! If i ever have to do this job again,i'm scrapping the car! What a complete nightmare!

IMG_0029.jpg

IMG_0028.jpg

It was then time to remove the window motor, regulator, door handle & lock and glass over to the other door. Half way through i forgot how the door mech went but got there in the end :)

Got the door fitted but it catches, will have look another day :)

Crazy! Love it! Needs something though...not quite sure

looks great! i love the rear lights!

Yessss!!! Now you need satin black rivet on arches and some fat hoops :-)

Being serious now though that looks cool. Satin sports car is hard to pull off and the decals make it work.

High five.
