I joined the MX5OC on a drive Sunday across the Suffolk Country Roads, and its the best day of driving i've ever had! The car performed extremely well and even had the company of my mapper Lawrence in the convoy in his boosted MX5!

I've got a couple of videos from the drive, but due to the length/size of the videos they take forever to upload :( Here are some photos from the day. The rest of the photos can be found on my Photography page on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.4...3756&type=1

Just put this together, the evolution of my MX5 in the nearly 2 years of ownership

8732102129_fdec8808e9_k.jpg

FUCK i love this eunos. I've been in my mates turbo and my god they are quick for a little car. Too much fun in these things. Should be getting a very standard one within the month. White looks sweet but the august 2012 picture looks so badass. BMWankers.

Today me and a couple of mates started to wire tuck the engine bay. Unfortunately I didn't get any photos as we went along.

All the wires passenger side (MAF loom,Horn,Headlight loom) got relocated to the inner wing. The diagnostic port and relays were tucked inside behind the dashboard. Also removed the washer bottle (Rain-X FTW!)

Drivers side was a little bit more tricky. We managed to put the Headlight loom and the sensors on the Thermostat housing through the inner wing. The Ignition Module was moved behind the fuse box. Was hoping to relocate the fuse box etc to inside the car,but it seems the main loom for that weaves behind the engine, which would mean engine out to do it properly. So we half tucked that side, doesnt look much, but looks a lot better.

We also fed all the vacuum hoses and wires underneath the inlet manifold. Also tucked the Injector wires too so it looks abit neater.

Apologies for the photos, first time using Adobe Lightroom and still getting used to it.

The next step for the MX5 was to have the spare turbo rebuild. A week or so prior to me sending my spare T25 away, this lil gem popped up.

Only problem is,the exhaust flange is 4 bolt while my current T25 is a 5 bolt. I'm in no hurry to get this fitted,so got plenty of time to source a flange & gasket :)

Looks wicked fun mate! :)

Rewind back to last Sunday,i headed down Santa Pod for Japshow.

I was with Jap Car Enthusiasts for the show, and they kindly awarded me with a Trophey! Most Unique Mod (turbo conversion). I know it may not be unique in the MX5 community, but I think I was one of few Turbo'd 5s at the show.

Its been awhile since I've updated, its been a nightmare couple of weeks!

Going back a two weeks, the car was dropped off at Fast Eddy's in Norwich to have a custom 2.5" stainless downpipe made,as well as having my new Turbo fitted

Couple of random photos

Took the car out for a drive to make sure I didn't have any leaks etc. Hadnt even done 10-15 miles and there was a cloud of smoke behind me. Removed the filter and checked the turbo and the turbo decided to fail! After speaking to the seller,I sent the turbo away to get it checked. After filing in a dispute with Paypal, and finding out the Turbo didn't have Garrett internals, the dispute got put forward to a case. Paypal decided to favour the seller.

I'm not going into too much detail about the dispute, but lets just say i'm very very out of pocket right now. I've got a nice paper weight which cant be rebuilt as HKS no longer make that turbo, and I've got a downpipe that doesn't fit my turbo :/

1005794_10153139280845311_1411623840_n.j

I pulled the car apart Wednesday just gone (21/08/13) to do a series of engine flushes. The oil filter proved to be a massive head ache, tried both chain and strap type filter wrenches, waterpump pliers and stabbing a screwdriver through. Managed to get more leverage with the alternator removed and it finally budged!

9579126088_76938b13bf_z.jpg

I've so far done two flushes,I've got another lot of oil and engine flush in. I've put the old turbo back on and currently driving it about. Once I've gotten a few miles on her,i'll then dump that oil and i'm praying that the metal filings will be gone. I've also fitted a magnetic sump plug to help things too.

Also fitted some mesh to the front bumper
