1998 polo rear bumper & central locking questions

Hi

Took a look around and cant find answer. Wondering if earlier model rear bumpers (one piece things) will fit on my

1998 model which has plastic bumper with the metal valance underneath. Thinking either use one off earlier model if possible and try and get 16v bumper.

Also, central locking. All works, apart from pin seems stuck in petrol flap, pushing this in when unlocking car helps unlock all the doors, boot remains locked, so I'm thinking maybe air leak in pipes between petrol flap and boot lock?

I'm back again with a metallic pink 98 1.4, having joined with a P reg 1.4 which headgasket went on, then had L reg Breadvan, sold that, but I just HAVE to have a Polo :).

Any help with above much appreciated.
