Agreed Ross, just sort ourselves out from now on.

I do thousands of miles a year for Club Polo and no one else out with us usual lot can be bothered to do a few miles.

No worries with the wheels Scott, should look hot on the 6n2 with a clean up.

Yeah it's odd how the snow is so isolated, but it gives me a chance to try out the winter tyres...which are awesome :)

What about having the next meet in Glasgow and see who turns up at it...

I'm game for that Scott.

I'm up for that but not going to hold my breath..

I know this is a scottish meet thread, but I was just wandering if there was anyone else from up my way that normally organise meets? If no then I guess i could try and spread the word round people down at normal meet spots :)

the problem is there is not meny peaple on club polo from scotland so it makes sence to have a central cinda meet.

yeah I get that, its a shame, when I was on the corsa forums there was only a couple people from scotland too, dunno why there has been a lack of scotish people on the forums, just with me having such a young son that going too far is a bit of an issue for me. Aberdeen meets are great, and not too far a distance is fine, just have to put the word out i guess :)

not too far a distance is fine

that seams to be how every one up hear feals. no one can be bothered to travel for a meet (exept like the 6 of us that go to ENY meet)

dont take this the rong way but i think i speak for a lot of people but i do no see why i shoud travel 200mile round trip for a meet if you can not be bothered doing the same.

yeah mate, I get it dont worry, if i get the chance to go to one of the other meets then believe me I will, i traveled down to Northampton Performance Vauxhall Show with the last forum, but being a dad now unless there is a weekend where the wee man is staying with our parents it kinda restricts how far I am willing to go. But if the chance comes up then I will be at one of the furter away meets :)

Most of our meets are in Dundee which is pretty much the most central point to all the Scottish guys as we are so spread out.

I'm sure you could turn up at a couple of Dundee meets in the coming year?

Only takes an hour each way and we don't exactly stay out late as we all work and all have a bit of a distance to travel to get home.

But as Ross said there is so few of us Scottish members we have to just have a general 'Scottish' meet not like a specific 'Aberdeen' meet or no-one would turn up.

Over the past few years though we have all become a bit bitter towards meets and new guys asking about meets as they ALL seem to just want to have one on their door step and expect everyone else to travel millions of miles to get there, yet they are unwilling to travel a few miles to get to a meet we all are going to.

Yeah I'm sure that I would manage that if its down Dundee end, not that far really and I guess it would be a day out for me and the mrs if we dont have the wee man. Though I'm sure he would love a trip in the car as he loves being in the car.

we all meat up then go for sum food so we can sit down and have a chat. but its probely not the best place to bring a kid (or eaven the miss) because some or the things we speak about are not realy good for sensitive ears if you no what i mean :paranoid:

ha ha ha, fair enough, I'm sure if i left her some money and told her to go meet up with some friends to go do some shopping then i could get away :p sounds like a good laugh. Will obviously depend when I am home from working offshore etc. Will defo make an effort to get down to one of the meets in the near future.
