Our electric floats didn't even have springs, i don't think. I don't know, i drove a 7.5 ton truck (supplied to schools, hospitals, nursing homes etc).

or sleeping

miss the old electric floats whizzing by,was a great alarm clock

My mate bought a mk2 golf GTi from someone in leeds, a week later, we were doing 100mph+ in it and he felt a wobble, as we slowed down to 20mph, the wheel came off... reason being, the car had obviously had a replacement wheel at some point, but it was the wrong offset, so the previous owner had shaved the mating surface of the wheel down with an angle grinder! to prevent it sticking out too far and catching... quite possibly one of the worst bodges i've ever seen and could've cost all 3 of us in the car our lives!

wild comparison's like running chopped springs are like jumping off a five story building or like jumping out of a plane without a parachute?

some people actually do jump outta planes without parachutes dude!

No one said they never Eric

what they did was compare running chopped springs to jumping out of a plane without a parachute which I would go as far as to say is a retarded comparison to make.

Now let's take the scaremongering and massive exaggeration out of this and look at some facts to show why this is such a retarded comparison to make.

Everyday at least thousands of people drive cars with chopped springs and get through the day without injury or death being caused to them through their chosen route of lowering. Now in comparison how many people jump out of a plane without a parachute and suffer no injury or death?... On a daily basis

depends if the guy normally jumping after em catches up in time! haha

Well it wasn't Sam, cos she was a girl.

Can't have been Jake cos he was gay.

Can't have been Bob cos he was about 92 and it took him all night to do anything.

Which leaves Cooper. But he was ginger.

Doris Racing - as long as you have Vauxhall fitment, you don't need wheel bolts.

theres no ginger here mikey, must be the old codger I live with called Keith then.

LOL at this thread. It just like saying don't let your baby eat for the first time they don't know how.. or - don't go in the sea there might be sharks and they may eat your legs.

LOL I'm still buzzing off this. Proper funny stuff, touched a nerve with some people haha

Can pretty much guarantee you whatever you're thinking of doing, I've done stupider stuff, doesn't mean I'd recommend it though.

Mole grips for a steering wheel :unibrow:

FACT:

A kitten dies every time a coil is cut.

Fookin hard work, I wouldn't reccomend it.

Stretched tyres are dangerous things too.

I saw one rob an old lady at knifepoint once. Its no wonder the police keep pulling people over and inspecting their tyres, they must just be looking for the suspect matching the description from the witnesses!

Shit. Better get rid of my wellers before i go to bed tonight....

back to the wheel thing.. my dad races caterhams, and a few weeks ago one of his wheels just came off while he was driving - all bolts done up with a torque wrench etc etc. crazy =P
