You had her, you gave her up, and now she's being ragged all over the place to within an inch of her life by some other guy.

My thoughts exactly

Not funny :( I miss that car badly ! X

I'm sure a lad in buxton had this :S

Yeah, he did. Sold it a while back to Robbo on here, who had it for a month or two then sold it.

:D it sat at mine for a while and i sold it robbo :D:D

It needs some valver treatment tbh

No chance not with my wiring skills, carbed gt is what I would like to do

^^ Carb'd valver wiring is virtually no different. ;)

Yeah I wouldn't be able to do the wiring:(

Its exactly the same though...

You would use a MK2 ignition to run carbs on both.

Yeah bike carb wiring would be the same for a GT as it would for a 16v. The mk2 ignition loom is its own little separate loom which is just plug and play, I know you like your sounds so if you can wire an amp in then you should have no problems at all wiring in bike carbs, either for a GT or afh engine

I have most of an afh engine for sale if your interested drop me a text or sumat

Yes bike carb the GT ! :D i know someone who had it before me who still has a rolling road print out of 120bhp :D

So this car rr'd at 120bhp with a GT lump in it? I wanna know what rolling road he used, I could do with an ego boost

No I meant I wouldn't be able to do either because of wiring I would need help, and audio is easy but I bet you all say so are looms lol I don't know where to start I've looked at the FAQ's but they didn't help

I would like to do either but I do have a spare gt I can work on

I have a bike carbed GT thats I've worked the head and 4 branch ports on. And that managed 85whp. So I think your mate may be exaggerating a tad..! :)

and +1 for mclovin.

found a video of my old polo reaching 90 bhp

It made 86 bhp at the last rolling day. Belonged to somebody in buxton called Polo-Minion. Was originally built by Antony on here.

I'm happy to let somebody kick me in the teeth at the polo show if it ever made 120bhp with the same set up + the bike carbs from the last time i saw it Dyno'd.

circa means 'around' seens as the video you posted is at aldon and was posted by Karl off of here its safe to say that was the club polo rolling road day, probably the one jay is on about above. 86bhp is no where near 120bhp, I think you might of got your wires crossed mate

aaa i understand :) i wont let anyone tell me a gt can get 120 bhp again sorry guys :(

They can get 120 (think yoof might of got a little more than that from his?) But it takes a massive spec to get those sorts of figures, certainly a shit load more than a few bolt on bits and some bike carbs

Don't worry about it tho mate your not the first and you sure as hell won't be the last to get caught out by some one else's exaggerating
