How so? Other than the bottom end all you would need is the head gasket and head bolts, probably best to stick another cam belt on if your not sure how long yours has been on it for

mines been on for about 10 months, I've spilled a few things such as oil and petrol on it though so I'm a bit worried if that would affect it?

yeah spose it wont cost too much, isit actually as simple as bolt the gti bottom end on though? the faq makes it seem so complicated! I've never built an engine before hah

Yeah its that simple, did mine the other day. Just get the hole in the relay roller drilled out ready for it, or I may know some one with one ready drilled that might not have a use for it now so might sell it.

Cam belts ain't all that much so its worth changing just for piece of mine tbh

the rollers the bit i dont understand, i thought it was just a case of bolting the afh head on with the afh bely lol. so you have a gti bottom end now then? how much better isit?

Haven't given it much yet as I'm breaking it in gently but its a lot more torquey. But only a few people actually know I've done it so shhhh

The roller is only a problem because the afh uses a smaller bolt than the avy so the roller needs the hole drilling out to fit the bigger bolt to suit the threaded hole in the avy block

when i get that blue coupe ill probably try and sell mine, wether it goes in 1 piece of partsis a different story.. but id love to use the money for a g40 lump at some point. mmmmm turbo
