Leaving it how it is, the outside is a mess of different shades so this will actually look good in real life (As in not on my phone camera  )

The new front valance has been painted on the inside/engine side but the outside will be left black, my new bonnet is white. The idea is for the car to appear like a shed but infact its very solid underneath - like many Beetles.

Ahh, right. My monaco blue motor is a patchwork of different shades of blue due to shoddy resprays etc. I don't think I'll go to the extremes you have though to remedy this

Haha! Postage stamp brakes! Shite aren't they.

Sorry what I meant was as standard, did it only come with the single rear line?

They have two from factory.

I'm glad i have never driven with those brakes as all my previous Mk2 Polo's were later VWI brakes as standard, they were bad enough.

Yeah, mine had 2 aswell, thats why I asked

I used stamps once, but just for the one day i brought it down to MK from Carlisle. With the worst expectations i found they weren't all that bad at least when cold, but they didn't stay cold for long!

Jeeze .. Look like push bike brake pads lol ..

I think I might look at a brake upgrade on a new member of our fleet, seen as that comes with postage stamp brakes !

I have been doing a few things to it but no pics right now, should have fueling and engine service done when we work on it tomorrow and get some pics. But he is a couple.

Abit more cutting is needed but it should work:

Was offered this PPS frame for a very good price so thought i might as well:

Leather goodness - Why not?

Haha ... Toby will love the wheel :)

Thought about the bracket, but didn't bother in the end. Have you machined the back of the mount as that's what put me off

Yep, Sent the mount and some money to StinkeyPete and he returned it back with it machined down the width of the metal bracket. He welded a nut behind the 3rd hole (Lower one) so the original bolt has something to screw into.

I think its a pretty neat thing.

Excellent. Should make things a little more stable.

I've just seen your subframe. Whats happened to the bottom hole on the left side? I did a bit of research into the different PPS and PPP s'frames and people thought that, because of the oval holes drilled in those plates (for ease of fitting) there was movement in the frame when put under load. To eliminate this, it was suggested lining the frame up on the car and then welding a second plate over the hole but with a single round hole to aid in stability and stop the frame moving about the bolt because of the added oval hole clearance. People were complaining that it felt like the frame was loose. This is what I will do when mine's on the road i think, something for you to consider.

The previous owner was possibly a little retarded and fucked up fitting it to the car. I was going to fit the frame and then take it somewhere to have some washers welded to the frame to stop the bolt moving. The frame has never been on the road and i got it for less then a PPP stage 2, a frame wasn't originally planned anyway, like most of it now i just keep adding things.

if you cleaned up the mounts and fitted it with large washers , you could tack the washers down once its all fitted nice

^^ that's what I was getting at yeah.

I never intended on a stage 3 either, but one came up cheap and I couldn't say no. It looks like it's been fitted to a car with a very bent chassis. The standard holes have been elongated back-front too. Though I have heard of these being poor fitting. What suspension are you going for. Apparently to get the most of these you'll need stiff fronts to prevent body roll
