as we all know, 40/40 just looks naff. really naff. and i dont want to shed out loads of money on a 40/40 kit for it to look shite

i cant get a 60/60 kit, and I'm not particularly keen on 60/40 cause I'm not convinced the rear would be low enough.

do you reckon id be pushing for 70mm, as i can get 70mm springs. or do i just go with a 40 kit and accept its not low enough :(

Id get an 80mm kit tbh, but you might need arch work.

Dont forget though the rears on all of the kits are adjustable, they have little notched to raise/lower it

i haven't got the money for arch work though bud and i would have to get it done professionally cause i wouldnt want to fuck it up

I used to have 40/40 and it lowered it a fair amount (though I'm still bubious that it wasnt a 60/60 kit). Go 60/60 with front lowering mounts and/or a coil out to sort the anti-rake polos always suffer from

i cant find a 60/60 kit :S is anti rake a huge problem then? would anyone who knows anything about cars spot it straight away?

all you need to pay attention to is the 1st number

The rears are adjustable, they will ALWAYS go low enough, too low in most cases. Its the front that you can rarely get right with springs and shocks. Always end up with the rear lower (well people with no sense of what looks good do )

60/50 kit was from Phil J aka Jackson Tuning on here, its on a hill here but usually sits just right IMO with slight rake.

So basically if I bought a 60/40 kit I could lower the rears to 50 if necessary?

80 up front looks best, i think you will need it with those tyres

It looks ok on the one above, but the tyres are a lot bigger than yours, makes the world of difference.

Currently I'm 40/40 with a coil off the front (see my build thread for looks). However, I have 14" wheels and larger tyres atm. I'm dropping two ratio sizes at least however (from 185/60 to 185/50) and possibly down to 175/50 at the front

New kit i'v just bought is a KW 60/60 kit, but with lowering top cups (-10-15mm) so will be around a 70/60 split. No pics of this yeat, but hopefully should be running 13's with that set up on 175/50

Bear in mind my tyres are 155/70/13's (major stretch on 7J wheels haha) won't a 70/70 or 80/80 need the arches rolled

You will still have arch gap on 13's at that height, i guarantee it

Oh yeah there's arch gap at the minute and so probably would be. Offset wise I don't know as their banded steelies and although I'm sure I could work it out if I tried I cba! might see if I can get a 60/40 kit or a 70/70 kit. Hmmm.
