mine is 70 on the front and was scrubbing alot with chunky tyres

You say it scrubs on 70's, does that mean a mk3 is likely to scrub?

80mm kit, with 10mm lowering topcaps and 2 coils missing. Its riding the bumpstops in otherwords. I get NO rubbing, i still have archgap.

You will be fine with an 80mm kit, you will want it lower

So in short, I'd be safe with a 70kit?

B-shaw are your arches rolled on that?

Defo!

Arches rolled or..? :)

front arent.

Rears are but that was done before i bought it, dont need to be. but there different to a coupe anyway.

  • 3 weeks later...

I know this is a few week old but if your still looking this is lowered on the 60/80 kit, i think the back is set around 70ish. This was running 14/6J i think with no rubbing or arch work.

mm that sits perfectly, thanks. i think an 80/60 kit it is then!

Bshaw i've got 60mm springs up the front with 3 coils cut off :L so about 80ish.. but obv the springs got abit of play when jacked up

would a 80mm with 1 coil possabley cut off have movement in the spring ? Have no idea if the 80 mm springs have the close coils at the bottem?

Bear in mind my rear is stripped so no weight to weigh it down. I've set the rear i think 2 notches down from the middle.

Must say i do get some scraping on the back box and cat on some of those thin high yellow speed bumps.
