Current state: Long term off road

History: Bought by my mate as a 1 owner car from the main VW stealer back in 1992 with just 32,000 miles on the clock. History (If known):

Bought by myself off a forum user from here back in early 2008. The car was a non-runner and needed a lot of tidying up. It had covered 57k miles, though there was no history to verify this.

History (If known): Polo C Formel E breadvan 1.1 4 speed (50bhp mechanical head engine)

Bought in 2001 by my dad for £200 for my sister to learn to drive in, the car was an mot failure and he rebuilt the brakes etc so it was on the road. Was actually previously owned by the parents of a girl my sister went to school with (they thought it was a pile of s**t  )

My sister used it for two years then upgraded to a golf, it ran out of mot and was awaiting some work for a fresh mot so it could be sold on.

The work never happened and the car stood, in 2007 it was given to me to act as my first car ( i would have been 14 so still three years away from driving). Due to various reasons (mainly the amount of work needed) it was never on the road for my seventeenth birthday (hence i bought the mk3) two years later i'm still cutting rust out and welding metal back in.

Modifications (if any):

Had (when my sister had it) mk3 cl seats, mk2 (GL?) steering wheel, twin lamp grill with red stripes, 90's pye cassette payer with rubbery aeriel.

Will have coupe s seats, upgraded sound system, 1982 14" audi 80 wheels, lowered a small amount, vw2 front calipers and some oem touches. Maybe even a bigger engine but we'll wait and see.

A pic i took in 2009:
