I'm afraid you will have to explain further. Did they go through the car was in their convertible mini with the roof down? Perhaps they left the house without an umbrella and it was raining? Regardless I'm not sure how their moistness or wetness is related to your car. Please explain further, preferably with pictures or a short instructional video.

Yo, seen a post you out on edition about top mounts you bought from eurocarparts, I just ordered the skf set, I assume they will be alright? I've got them so I can just swap the struts out instead of messing about getting the old top mount and bearing off. Also, is it possible to get the struts off by disconnecting the wishbone and driveshaft from the hub, then just twatting the hub off the standard strut?

Dave that's what I've got mate they work so :), they come out alright tbh, undo the bottom ball joint from the arm The 3 13mm's and pull it out of the arm, undo all the bolts that hold the shock into place (m12 spline 18mm 13mm)

, hit a chisel into behind the shock clamp(hub) if you like, undo the 10mm that holds the brake line bracket to the hub, move that out the way, pry down on the hub (may need to lock the disc with a wheel bolt so you don't slip), and hit with a hammer, takes alot of effort but it comes out eventually, clean it up and grease the new strut and fit. Pushing it back into the hub make sure it's spotless, easier to fit than remove, and they are shorter so put the 13mm's back in the ball joint/arm and just twist into place.. best use a air gun or impact on the topmounts bolt (22mm).. Good luck.. If you don't snap a bolt let me know..

Thanks a lot! Last time I tried to get the struts out without removing the arm and it was a bastard! So I'm guessing removing the arm from the ball joint makes it loads easier?

Just read all your topic dude, would be a shame to sell, I say save up gooood! Keep it for another year until your insurance goes down a bit too, then decide. So fit them wheels you've got for now hehe..

Dave - Oh yes mate, leaves the hub free from any restriction So much easier. Bit of a bitch to get the ball joint back in the arm of you leave it out antill you've put the Coilover on. Holla if you get stuck..

Lagz - I'm saving as we speak this cars going August no matter what, shall be for sale after the show season, looking like it was for the show season. Moving up to a newer car, this 1's over stayed its welcome.

photo of her current settling stance aha so shit

Looks wicked mate! Whats all the specs on the wheels & tyres?

I guess you already know this but spacers look like a must! something like 30 all round I reckon would be sick.

This is gunna look wicked though man, with the black plate on looks sweet.

This looks mint liam, like the new wheels.

All ready on it sicx bud, got them on order waiting for delivery, just thought I would pop up a few pics off it as she is too clean not too..

The wheels are 16" Et43 6.5j Optional extra bbs splits (BBS RS825) with a 165/40 tyre, nice bit of stretch but the new ET with spacers on will be, Rear- ET13 , Front - ET18 so nice bit of poke created..

Thanks LAGz bud, hopefully I might get to see this black 9n 1 day.. Aha

Not much left todo now tho, she's fully colour coded, gti side skirts, bbs splits, ride height set and complete, all red rears, private plate, detachable front plate, new exhaust..

2013 here we come.
