I think I've got that issue with mine (9 months) had the engine management light on ha - 99% its a corroded lambda sensor or somethin.

I als had pepperpots maybe there cursed, or just a coincident ha.

Aajr - For the 9n's no due to the Audi 5x100 stud pattern (that vws now have too). But for the 6n2 not sure if they are 4x100 or 5x100. If the 6n2's are 4x100 then yes, but you may have a problem with your GTI callipers hitting the wheels. The 5/4 is the amount of studs (wheel bolts) and 100 is the mm's between each stud hole.

Right today was a good day, Mainly involved my mates golf but . We de-wipered the golf, So easy, just needed a good old pull. Then went for a drive, Lol'ed at the accessories aisle in halfaurds and ate a Chicken Hut. Nom :p.

Got home, bored straight away went out and got on with a idea i had, Whiped them out, Rapped, Fitted!!

Have you looked into insurance for modded cars yet by any chance?

A lad I know just bought a mk1 lowered golf, usual mods banded steels etc.Anyway his dad said after so long he should declare his mods....they cancelled his policy and he's now looking at quotes around the 3500-4000 mark!!I've been driving 2 years and have 1ncb. My first year cost me £2200 now with the NBC but with mods it's now at 2300.

I'm not trying to bring bad news I just thought I'd look out for you as I put Coilovers on this year and when my parked car got hit it fucked my insurers and I had to pay more out :/ And it's just happened to the lad I mentioned.

Well my mates got a MK1 Golf lowered on R10's none declared and no problems. I wont be doing high mileage probs 3000 a year, I will be riding to work most days then driving around after most likely. I live a 5min bike ride away. No point going in the car because of it not getting warm. Even if I have a accident, like a mirror 1, driving into a lamppost, ill fix it my self. Forget insurance companies. But hitting some 1, might become a different story.

I know what you mean, I've been looking at quotes, 3k for me alone. Or ill sell the car to my dad, have me a named driver with a modified policy for 2k.

Depends, Got wheels atm but there not on.

Well today I was meet by Nick from Polish Perfection. I arranged him to detail my car last Saturday when he did my mothers mini. He was ready and rearing to go. Unpacked and started!

He has such a good passion for Vw's and rocks up in his shiny caddy.

Wooly 9n -Thanks bud, I Sprayed my lights with E-tech red tint spray, Couple of coats and the job was done. Easy to apply, masked the area, then after bended it into the original lights, Going to wax them Saturday to keep them shiny and sealed.

Gdorey, The mini has autoglym life shine on it. (Same as my dads Audi) Was around £150, But i got mine done at mates rates.

Just need lows, But she's staying like this till I've passed

So had a argument with my mom and dad, Moaning about the pots making the car uninsured in accident due to them not being declared (As i cant!!) so looks like ill be Putting the steels back on, but think ill paint them first.

Well like i said:

I had a good night and didn't wake up till 3pm. Got downstairs, bagged a lift of the parents and brought some cans. Got home, It rained :(. Then this evening I was just cotching on my bed looked out and it was DRY :D/ Ran outside and done this:

So I've sprayed them Diamond black (same colour as the polo) got a few things to do to them, Like spray the last 1 (ran out of paint) and give the others some coats. Lacker them and boom. Oh and do a little job :p Secret.
