Well polo is now in winter mode again also fitted some wind deflectors and 6000k hids

Well after car sharing in a mk4 golf with a lad from work for numerous weeks now I have got quite used to having a arm rest,

So one universal eBay job later I have this

Quickly realising its not going to fit I set about making it fit lol

So take the leftovers of a broken garden swing bench some imagination some cutting and fixing mixed with a hell of a lot of patience and you end up with this :)

Plan on getting thin plywood to cover the sides and top and carpet over it to hide the poles

Something like this

also looking for a genesis bench/seat cloth to cover the lid

And that arm rest is a nice touch too, looks like it only comes forward enough to get your elbow on, but you've still got an elbow rest which I haven't seen before in an old polo! :)

Bog standard Genesis interior.

Saw these arm rests on ebay.de a few weeks ago and thought of getting one but I wasn't sure, not really a fan of it to be honest.

Yeah just standard genesis interior, and I'm still working on getting the armrest in the right position.

Picked up two front genesis seats off moustachG40 on here this morning as i only wanted the cloth off came the covers to use the fabric for this and some other things in the pipe line

Also got all my speakers fitted and wired up

Made a air freshener to hang in the window at shows out of some more genesis trim

New wing mirrors are now fitted :) so much better than standard ones

Where did you manage to find those mirrors lad?

Got them off a dealer in Kent mate they were advertising one on eBay but rang them and they had one of the other side too :)

After fitting my mirrors today I decided to make a cover for my armrest supports

So take one piece of mdf

Add a cardboard cutout

Cut and build a cover

Add a old work fleece for fabric And you end up with this

Currently building a cover for the front but didn't get any pics of that

Also made something for shows using mdf covered with my genesis trim I had left from my spare seats cut to the size of the cut outs in my parcel shelf

Rear headrests added too

Parcel shelf looks neat, good idea. Personally I would cover the base of the arm rest with the same carpet that's on the floor so it blended in better.

Nice touches son, i have agree with mattloaf though on the material used for the box section.... polo carpet wouldve looked better

Thanks for comments guys and agreed it would look better in polo carpet however I didn't have any so made do lol, any one have a spare carpet I can cut up ? Also what style tips did I take lol

You got alot of use out of the old seat fabric haha, liking the arm rest :)
