Have a spare one of these now. It was cross-threaded, but has been drilled out and Helicoiled, will be a permanent fix, I've done this before on other cars I've owned and never had a problem, no leaks.

Tightens perfectly, can include a brand new sump bolt. Sump is in perfect condition, car on 66k and has been covered by the under-tray.

These are 130 quid from VW.
