9n3 Tdi Sport!

Featured Replies

Yoo, been on club polo for a while now snooping about for ideas for my cars, finally decided to start a thread!

I'm on to my second polo already (only been driving 9 months), My first being a Mk4 1 litre. i did a little modding to this but nothing special.

Then due to the change in weather i thought it was time to buy something newer, abit more reliable and more fuel efficient for all the miles i do.

Knew i wanted another VW so straight away went for a 9n3 polo.

Only had to look once for this car and straight away fell in love, so bought the beast for £6000.

Polo 9n3 1.9 TDi (100bhp)

standard at the moment.

When i first got the car

I have plans to lower the car, get abit of black added and of course some new wheels, but of course these will have to wait until the weather changes and the road salt disappears.

Any thoughts or ideas are welcome!

ye I'm not a fan of that red badge but its diffrent i supose. I've got mine carbon wraped. that looks ok just a idea for you. i like the door pillars. did u go them on the car or take them of?

Edited by polo gaz

Really like your car mate, red badge looks good to me.

How do you take the bits off your steering wheel that you wrapped? I fancy doing something to mine (also a 9n3!)

I've got the idea for the badge from an A3 in the latest PVW, still not sure but I'm gunna wait till i get GTi front end sorted.

And yeh i did them on the car, me and a mate of mine were quite the team with a hair dryer and an old credit card haha

I did them while they were still on the wheel. was quite easy really. they have enough movement so you can move them to fold the wrap under. having the engine running helps with the power steering, can really move it about and get them looking good.

Thanks!

So another little update!

At the weekend i got upto a few little interior mods. My dead pedal cover came so i got that fitted, put i bit of red take behind the TDI to make it stand out.

DSCF0423.jpg

Also put some LED footwell lights in. Wired these to the interior light so they come on when the door opens

DSCF0420.jpg

pictures not brilliant quality but you get the idea.

Also attended Ultimate Dubs on Sunday! Good show, Loved the drive down to Telford, was great to see so many VW's on the road at once!

Got my self some pressed plates :D Took loads of pictures inside but when it came to putting them on the computer, they all turned out crap because of the stupid lighting in there!

Got a cool shot of a few cars while queing to get in

Then a nice panoramic of one of the rooms

Plans for the car: Lowered on Coilovers and going down the OEM+ Route, going to get some Porsche D90 Wheels!

Just an idea to brake the red up at the front why not spray the middle section black? midle grill numberplate area etc :D

Like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-07-Reg-Volk...=item5ae3593e89

shouldnt cost to much only a little area if not try some plasti dip just to see if you like it mate.

Good idea!! Instead of spraying it, wrap it, then you can always pull it off if you get bored of it! :D

It is actually on my list on things to do this weekend! I've sold the Merc wheels now and I'm after something abit different :doubt:

RS Reps Maybe?

I'm not too good at wrapping although i could give it a go! getting over the number plate area will be hard as it is raised

Take the plate off, Keep plenty of heat in the vynil and keep it tough. :) Should be ok. Work slowly with a old credit card with some foam on the end :) to smooth out bubbles :)

Good luck and would look pretty smart :D
