Help on direct intake system

after finding out my 9n ran better without the airbox on it, i was thinking about an induction kit and a guy from work told me it was a bad idea to buy a 57i kit becoz it just draws in warm air, i set searching for another like a K&N Apollo with a cold air feed but found nothing... it may be a long shot but has anyone modded one to fit their 9n? or know of any other induction kits?
