yeah the guy that did them is amazing, £80 for the lot :) well happy, dont froget the helper spring is still in there, and 2 more coils on the backs, if needs be theyll be taken out, its low enough for me atm, had trouble getting out of the garage so god knows what itll be like on the road :/

16v bumpers fixed up and rear fitted, front goes on 2moro, and Wing mirrors sprayed satin black, pads and discs fitted 2moro and top mounts to be fixed, will upload pics 2moro of the finished product :) ps how do you reset te service light on the dash?

before resetting, ensure the mileometer is displaying the total milage and not trip miles... press the button to the left of the speedometer will will change it from total and trip. switch on the ignition but dont start the engine. press and hold button to left of speedometer and switch of the ignition, then release the button and the display should say OEL. Now press the digital clock lower button on the right-hand side of the instrument panel untill 5 dashes appear on the display which then makes the OEL service reset.

By pressing the left hand button again the next service interval can be displayed and then reset by pressing the right hand button. keep resetting if necessary untill it reass IN 00 when switching on ignition...

going to get a 6n2 rear boot lid this weekend aswell as 6n2 tail lights, apparently they are a direct fit according to guys on here,

They are a direct fit but they will sit proud at the bottom, you will also need to mad a bumper to include lights for the reg plate, fair bit of work but deffo worth it

ther not 100% direct fit u do need 2 swap some wires around 2 get all the light 2 work correct

dont know about the bootlid, but the lights definately need wires cut n swapped round, a bit of drilling and sanding is needed to get them sitting straight with tha boot as well... there is a thread on the technical section! i am doing mine next weekend

My mate has a 1l 6n 99reg and he said he reset his through the dash, I'll have to try it just incase it works :) and thanks green polo, comments like that make it all worth while :)

Tried fitting th mk2 gti interior with my mate and found that the ruuner guides aren't as wide on my new seats so some cutting and welding will be getting done

In work now, cutting up a couple of plates for the base of the seats!

Having seen this car in the flesh I can say that the 12s work well. The tyres on them aren't the smallest I've ever seen which helps reduce arch gap.

I got it reset through the dash, was handy enough :)

haven't updated this in a while, so thought id let yous know what I've been up too recently,

got both my bumpers fitted and the cracked fixed on the front one by my friend who is an apprentice body worker, handy to know people in the trade :),

had the car sitting mint ready to go to dubshed and then the bombshell hit, first i couldnt get insurance to cover me to drive it up to the show,

so i then got my friends dad who has trade plates to take it up for me on the day,

was cleaning it on the thursday night and then the car pressurised itself and blew coolant all over the place on me,

i near shit myself!,

so i figured out from all the technical pages that it was most likely the thermostat was gone, fitted new thermostat on the friday night and did a coolant change as well, all was good so i left the car in the garage,

came back out on the saturday to find a slight puddle under the car and thought it was just all dripping off from when it had spilt everywere,

so we had just finished off polishing it all and i started up the car and coolant started running out of my car all over my garage, apperentyl i hadnt tightened up one of the thermostat bolts fully,

all was sorted and i was able to relax,

got the car packed up on the sunday morning and ready to leave for dubshed,

meet a few friends and headed up in a convoy to seacat to meet the rest of the guys from Belfast Car Scene, on the way up my temp gauge wasnt working, forgot to plug the sensor back in :/

got to dubshed and had a greatday, got alot of people looking at the car and surprised how much work had been done to it within the space of a month,

but mostly everyone loved the 12",

the car hasnt moved since dubshed and I've been trying to get insurance ever since,

I'm 18 on the 29th and i get insurance under my dads name for £1400, were going 50% each, which is pretty decent of him, considering he sold his car so i can get mine insured :) on one exception..... it has to be legal! so he wants the 13" steels back on and a reasonable height, so the steels went on 2nite and i told him i raised it 20mm, i told him 100mm is legal under standard insurance

so I'm going to either by my mates 13" banded steels (the guy on here with the wide arch 6n2) or else a set of G60's 15"

also got a slight feature for ILoveBass, they took a random snap of my mk3 polo one day when we were just chilling out my backgarden and had the sofa on the roofbars for a laugh,

and then Mark McGuinness' Mk5 golf came all the way from Derry to get his feature in my back garden, so i had to sneak the 6n in to some of the pictures :)
