Let me start by saying a HUGE thank you joe and sam today.

without your help i couldnt have got any/most of the work done

anyway, managed to switch over subframes today and asses the damage i did :lolno:

bodged on some exhaust hangers, took the arb out, found out the rear engine mount had snapped (doh!) steering rack ball joint split and now wont go back in!! but after a few snapped/ seized bolts, lots of swearing and getting in a mood. job was done.

notch lines up with my driveshaft (yay!) so can lower it again. nothing drastic though haha.

Got my wheels back from powdercoating this morning and i think its safe to say I'm more than pleased with the outcome, they are simply stunning. (swwr go there for great rates) cheers sam :)

also on the subject, after a few discussions with people i managed to find out why my car was toeing in so much. it turns out that when i fitted my 6n subframe i also fitted the wishbones as well. however the subframe is the same, the wishbones arent and are around 10-15mm shorter... making the car toe in crazy amounts. to the extreme of when i went to get my car tracked it was off the scales and they couldnt sort it out!!! mad.

anyway, swapped over my wishbones today after purchasing spankin' new ones

slapped the wheels on the car (haven't touched suspension yet so quit moaning about arch gap :p)

This is the worst arch, but running this hard stance means battered arches lol.

White on white works so well. Replace those wings though, they look fucked!

Decided to lower the front another 20mm today... the lazy way.

My orange vinyl turned up a few days ago after i decided i wanted to tint my indicators orange like 6n models, but the stuff was rubbish so after putting on one side, it was off again within 10mins. no pics either unfortunately. Also contemplating putting on my clear side repeaters again...not sure (to go with the white theme)

on another note, anybody got suggestions on what i can do to the rear lights, was thinking about making them all red rears, then smoking them slighty but not 100% sure.

Also running this hard took its self out on my indicator yesterday, clips snapped :(

so for the time being its being held in with gaffa tape

Haha! One of my front repeaters rattled itself free as well! Was getting some odd looks from other drivers, and only noticed when I'd parked up... Liking the progress. Been following this on e38. :)
