my daughter has a mk 4 polo 1.0 with 107000 on the clock

the engine starts fine and the car runs and drives ok.

the problem seems to be when slowing down though the gears

the enginge revs drop right down to about 500/700 revs and tries to stall.

anyone have any pointers as to what might be causing this!!!
