I see I see I wish I went down that route now as I stupidly swapped them for my near new wellers just because they fit under the arches pretty curbed in places too bad times anywho I'll stop clogging this up now :)

OR

Starmags 13x7 ET -7

I realise the off sets but after looking at Matt-c's on Starmags and the tyres he is running Front: 165/55/13 And Rear: 175/50/13, I'm thinking of running 145/60/13 all around just to fit under the GT arches. Thoughts?

The 145's look like this

Not bad for a iPhone

Thier the alternative versions to my starmags though with the deeper dish but the ofset is similar so this post is kind of pointless :) I hate that mk3s poke :(

I'm just gunna do what i did on my 6n, washers behind the hubs ;)

Front and rear camber FTW :p

If it works let me know please haha

Hah no probs mate wont be till may june time though, come into lots of money then :unibrow:

when i first got my polo gt it had minilite of an ET of -7 and the poke on the front looks wierd unless u do abit of arch work

  • Author

This may sound silly but how you menna do arch work on plastic arches??

and thats why i was going for camber all around to stop the poke!!

u take the arches off then do what u need to do to get the wheels so theres no poke and then you can stick um back on , there is a product that is popular that people use but cant remember what it is called , i just bought wheels that have a decent offset in the end

Don't use washers you'll die

I'm still here now after my 6n had them ;) washers FTW

Rubber mallet job then lol, probs just go with washers, two on the front bolt 1 on the back bolt to even the tow out, then chop a coil or 2 off the front aswell :)

Yupp all went in in like 20 mins after a few swear words lol. And same to you in you lil sexy mk1 :unibrow:

You won't be able to adjust the camber with washers on the front - you'll realise why when you take it to bits! Camber adjustable topmounts are the way.

I vote neither of the wheels, it will sit ruuuuuubbish :-(
