lift pump

n

(Engineering / General Engineering) a pump that raises a fluid to a higher level. It usually consists of a piston and vertical cylinder with flap or ball valves in both piston and cylinder base Compare force pump

This what one is?

The injected 86C polo's use 2 fuel pumps, one to "lift" the fuel from the tank up to the high pressure injection pump (behind the offside rear wheel).

If your converting to carburation, you require a much smaller fuel pressure so you can just use the lift pump and remove the injection pump.

However, the simplest way is just to "Tee" the fuel supply, using the injection pump still (and lift pump in the tank)

They're GT seats man, can tell just by the pictures. My hair basically brushes the roof with the standard seats, but in the Corrado seats I have loads of room to spare, totally changes the driving position. You can pick em up for about £50 the set; I got some for £15 the pair from an autojumble but the driver's bolster is fucked!

Double

or One block

post-28869-1336669486.jpg

thank you

I'd like to think the single block is easier to take out/wash..

Other than that, price would be a factor...

As for performance, I can't imagine it making a button of difference.

I had massive issues with filter socks on my friends fiesta

So what would you use harris

Edited by blandy123

Dunno tbh man, we had bonnet clearance issues. Made it rich at fuck at high rpm, like they were choking it massively.

But a lot of people run them no issues, and at back of bay they should be ok.

Just finding ones that are a nice fit.

Making a plenum with a cone filter would be nice

if only i could weld

cheers gunnna go for the single socks for now and see how we go. gunna order a clear dizzy cap and arm next week then get a 'tee' peice then get them on :)

excited now. also gunna have a first attempt of polishing the manifold :unibrow:

Any polishing techniques for painted metal?

was just gunna wire drill it so all paint off ant then just put loads of metal polish on? will that work or am i missing something?
