As the title says, I want to lower the front end of the polo but I am afraid of having wheels that sit too far back within the arches.

So, are ARB blocks only really necessary for the likes of bad mastards with an 80-100 mm drop?

I have had a look at the angles of the ARB and can't really decide whether 40mm will make so much of a difference.

it will be fine either way. arb blocks are a good handling improement though. i notice them alot in the wet too.

Well we're talking 14" wheels with balloon tyres, not the smallest set up!

i had 14'' with baloons down 70 and they only scraped over speedbumps

40/30 kit with 14/165/60 on my girlfriends and i've yet to get some blocks. You can see what it looks like though. Not needed in terms of wheel position

Well when i had a 70 kit i had 14s but had baloon tyres and u still had less arch gap. Lmao

Id say thats about as low as mine is on the front, obvs i have more arch gap due to 13's

Mines got 70s with 2 coils off and shortened dampers so its gotta be like 90mm or so surely? I only just got blocks too, and the difference is crazy

To be qualified Bad mastard spec a letter is required from the queen. Jamie has not recieved said letter so is only 60mm with two coils iirc :p

And yeah, think about my breadvan, thats an 80mm kit, with lowering topcaps taking it to 90, and then well, the 80mm kit removed to no suspension at all. gotta be -90mm atleast.. and its nowhere near that low

There was no reverse rake on that bready Ben, its just the gay rear arches come lower than the fronts. Same setup on a coupe sat nice and level arch wise

And it was the afh sump sitting on the floor which is a problem you wouldn't have with a standard sump at that height

How bad is the Afh sump?? i leaving mine on, I'm just over 80 on 14's , reckon ill get away with running it ?
