I thought instead of disposing of them that i would ask about before doing so.

They do both WORK, but after 5-10 (in some cases a few more) turns of twisting the headlight on.

They are genuine VW ones. (The red and black power feed are from the new ones i bought as i used the original power feed to power the new ballasts)

Would possibly be ideal for replacement.
