2002 Volkswagen Polo 1.4 Sport 100 - Loads of History & Reciepts - Cheap to Run

Leave at least five days between 'bump' posts. If you have information to add, edit this post.

MOT'd till 31/01/2013, tax : 30/06/2012

mileage is sitting at just over 127000

The car comes with previous mot's and receipts from previous work done to the car, which there are loads of. Also has a part VW service history, upto around 90k I believe.

This is a fully spec'd car, including:

colour coded bump strips and valances

heated seats

electric windows

remote central locking

air conditioning

trip computer (mpg etc)

blue and grey sport interior

electric heated mirrors

abs

climate control

6 cd multichanger

fog lights

The car is lowered on TA Technix coilovers but will supply the standard sport suspension with the car as well. It'll come on standard (and fairly sought after) VW Melbourne 5 spoke alloys which were refurbished about a year ago which had two new tyres in January

Remus backbox with single chrome tip, just gives off a slightly sporty noise but still totally quiet when driving normally.

The car has recently had a new timing belt, water pump etc, also had a new lambda sensor fitted (just needs the light on the dash reset) got a full set of PowerFlex poly bushes for the front and back of the car, only fitted the main ones on the front though, car has been serviced regularly. Just had new cv joint fitted. The car often acheives 40mpg+, high 40's if driven carefully.

There are a few bad points with the car. There's a scuff on the back left arch (quoted £70 to get sorted), slight scuff on the front bumper, golf ball dent on drivers door, key mark on the boot, taken photos of all of these things, also the abs isnt working due to needing a new back left sensor, central locking works apart from the driver's door which only works off the key (will try and have a look at this)

All in all a cheap example of what is a very solid car. Mechanically it works as it should, just minor body inperfections that let the car down. With a tidy up would be a really nice looking car.

If you have questions, please feel free to ask. Viewing welcome and recommended.
