so here's how the car started when I first bought it, with a few slight mods: satin silver 1.3 spi cl, 91k

lowered on phil j 90/80 kit, GT steels, Stainless de-cat system, g40 door cards and uprated speakers, nothing too fancy lol!

this was the night I got it if I remember, hence a picture in the dark.

few weeks after having her, let loose with a few stickers, not overboard yet haa!

also new tyres all round, 165/55's think it looks better on lower prof tyres!

paint down the whole right hand side is tragic, getting done next weekend finally :D

had a go at the door a while back as it was rusting at the bottom, and its still covered in primer :/

thats the first attempt. ill put more pictures of how the car looks now up soon!

over the past year, things I've done:

post-38423-1337899228_thumb.jpg

new top mounts were next, along with new brakes all round, had new linings, new ebc discs and green stuff pads :)

post-38423-1337899728_thumb.jpg

post-38423-1337899916_thumb.jpg

sprayed a few bits if the interior:

post-38423-1337900069_thumb.jpg

next up was new wheels :D went for the ats classics, and these were shabby when i picked them up, but got them for pretty cheap, tyres were shot though, decided to refurb them myself, so i used nitro morse to remove the old laquer anodising whatever you want to call it, this was a lengthy process!

then i had to rub them down, to 2500 grit,

got rid of all the corrosion polished them and the first two I lacquered, big mistake lol, look naff compared two the front which i left bare and regularly polish.

trial fit before refurb :p

Nice one mate, looking good! Not too keen on the stickers personally but fair play, i think its a phase most people go through

Colour looks smart, classics work well with it! Can i just ask where you had your stainless system made up?

Right totally forgot about this and havnt had the chance to update it,

since then alsorts has gone on,

head gasket went, nightmare, so had to do that while my dad was away as he'd usually help with that but all was good

false floor in to get my tools and bits in,

HID's

new fuel filter, coil ht leads and plugs as that decided to randomly pack in

and a boot popper, so much easier than climbing in the back to open the boot, that was a pain fitting the wiring.

it never went for paint, spent too much money before hand, so is going in for full job on the 25th, colour coded bumpers and some smoothing going on!

then I've got a new arb with arb blocks from g-laderseite and full new suspension to go on!

Classics are going to need another refurb also as there a mess from this shitty weather.

Should have an update after paint, then i can get working on everything else once this snow f**ks off :)

Thanks

small update Wont let me upload photos for some reason, saying theres no space available to upload photos, wierd

had a new heater resistor, so now heater works on all 3 settings

cleaned the leathers with some autoglym leather restorer, worked a treat and look great, and leather rear seats went in took the false floor out

Got some G40 carriers and calipers as well so these will be going on once i get chance. need a blast and a lick of paint first though

Also g40 door cards in as well

Looking good now tho dude 8-)

looks sick mate....ats classics do look right at home on a mk3. How much did the paint job cost out of interest, as I'm thinking about getting my g40 done in the summer?
