7hp is a lot of difference!

Toby are tyre pressures equal? Lol

  • Author

Thats a good point, not touched tyre pressures, probably all low lmaoo!!

Had a butchers at this at the pod, am liking the work that's gone into it! I also noticed the mud! Lol

Flood damage that hahah

He does have limp noodles for arms remember...

Looks sick as fuck in that pic mate, really think this is crying out for some better wheels though, it might be the tyres that put me off mind.

And how long did it take you to realise i was going slow for a reason and wanted you to overtake me on the road outside pod?

Also, who took that pic? and where are they? Any of mine?

Looks good Toby!, Glad you've got it together and on the road! You have to take me out some time ;)

Took it on holiday, did the 600 miles suprisingly well... although after going on the ferry this happened

Pulled the exhaust off at the reducer somehow... wasnt even a ramp on the ferry yet managed to do it.

Got it to the closest garage and they fixed it for nout, legends!!

The caravan that turned out to be a chalet

  • Author

It was the dream, however the cost its just too much...

I think I'll be going direct to Compomotive though for my next wheels ;)

The PLS have already found a new home  You will be glad to know its a good one :)

samething happened to me toby.. Such a ball ache to clean .. on block still but cba haha

Bay looks amazing! 8-) Nice to finally see it running fella.

PLS's are like bitches, can never get enough  Maybe me and vwjake can go halves on yours

They're coming back to me baby!!!

  • Author

haha yeah Jamie... i gave mine a quick clean before holiday, but needs some work to be a looker lol! Just cba, fuck it, daily, use n abuse....

Slight problem with my breaks lol... sometimes making a catching noise, and when i reverse, put brakes on, rotates so much and front left wheel locks up solid lol... sounds like I've crashed or something. Only in reverse though, normal going forwards

CBA to take wheel off and look, probably just something stuck in disc/pads.

Still got the noise too, didn't change a great deal when on holiday. bit nosier when turning right, about it

Most prob just a stone, Had the same horrid noise when i was driving down a ally.. Went away after a blast lol

Looks great mate,

Hope you had a good holiday.

Not much to report here, still haven't finished any of the jobs i still need to do, i gave it a wash yesterday and its now filthy again

Started looking into baffled sump and windage tray, will also be getting oil cooler and need to find a suitable rev limiter.

Pretty much all that will be going on now is preparation for track lol. Thinking of going with a stage 2 subframe again as i wont be running it silly low!

Went to compomotive the other day, decided on what I'm getting, just waiting for the money for the PLS to arrive in my hands and ill be driving away with a brand spanking new set of wheels :D

Undecided on colours for wheels atm, its a tricky one.

So really, the only plans for this now are..

Wheels/Tyres

Baffled sump

Windage tray

Oil cooler

Rev limiter

With the possibility of, if i get bored...

Stage 2 subframe

Re-ground cams

Refurbished dizzy with curve set to engine specs.

Feels wrong to have such a short list of things i want

Also feels good, cause its mainly all cheap ish stuff :D

I'd definetly get that dizzy cleaned, maybe get a spare and send that off instead, then you've got a back up.

Looks good though tobes, wish i'd had a good luck it at GTI, but i was having too much fun with my carbs 8-)

My dizzy 're-cruve' was £40 inc return P&P mate, found the invoice the other day. Infact may have been less. Fast turn around too

make much of a difference nick ? .. Can u still retain vac advance or does this get binned off ?

They bin it off as they set it up for performance not drivability.

Such good value, seen as thought they clean them aswell dont they?

  • Author

I am considering it, but tbh i think id rather run with vac advance. Might just take dizzy off and plaster it in hammerite LOL

Need a cover, but cant find one anywhere :(

really cba to spend money on it, spent too long putting whatever wages i have left into this fucking thing lol.

Having some idle problems, apparently my carbs need re-balancing.

I hope this isn't going to be a continuous problem, pain in the arse if it is.

As much as i want cams and a stage 2, i think i must resist and just get on with driving it for a year. Expensive year next year tbh. As many track days as i can get in, as many shows as i can get in plus MIVW and Nurburgring again.

balancing bike carbs is so easy mate have a look on the web theres loads of videos on how to do it , i have balanced loads of them on my bikes

They shouldn't need balancing IMO, iv left mine for 1000's of miles then checked and not needed adjusting
