Wont come out :crybaby:

Roof is covered in like light scratches too..

On the other hand, roof I'm doing something with anyway, same with the bonnet :) Just the wing and rear quarter

Upside, engine in on Sunday. Possibly more weather depending.

Love this mate, cant wait to see it in person

matt is different, theres no clearcoat. This is normal clearcoat with matting agent. if you polish the fuck out of it, it will start going shiny.

Its slowly getting shinier just from washing :)

I've been there, asked the pro's (the guys that taught me to paint) when the magnets marked the paint before. re-paint was the only option. which is why i went through all the hassle of re-doing the doors and boot before.

meh, cba.. leaving it.

I knew it wasn't going to stay satin forever, its not durable enough. birdshit destroys it after a day of being on the car.

Use it until my next daily project is done then its coming back off the road  G40 and probably full gloss respray, possibly colour change :)

Next level shit, i intend to keep ths car for years t come... satin paint wont hold out that long. I'm surprised its lasting as long as it is :o

Ah that's a bit gay with the paint, nearly bought one for the rocco but decided against it in the end as the lining on the inside didn't impress me

Will have to pick your brains for your plans on Sunday, what else you planning possibly? :-)

well if you know its gonna end up gloss, just bloody polish it  :)

Eric, it will just come out patchy to fuck. will look a million times worse, trust me!

Just looks like a big water mark fuck it

haha go for it Jon... my bonnet is gunna be pretty impressive.

However, my new daily (in about a years time) will be too ;)

glad to see this thread properly laid out, instead of hundreds of pages of spam.

aside from the tide marks (any floods up in wolves lately?) she looks really neat still, I can't wait to see whats next.

Good luck today :)

I had a matt brown 6n2 and bird poo killed it had marks all over it :-( be better to try and re paint it

Also cant believe Olly 'yeah, you need to take a load off your engine mount man'

Literally needed about 5mm tickling off at the top

Is that significant progress i see!? Looking good mate. Who's is the MK1

its just like 2 or 3 bolts from inside by the pedal box.

Oh, and a pin holding the pedal onto it.

And the MK1 is Higgo's Dad's

Thought it was. But the lowness threw me, as it was stock height last time i saw pics.

Isn't it 4 13mm nuts?

Either way, slide the drivers seat right back, get your head in the foot well with a torch, 13mm socket with extension and you will have the servo off in no time Beno

Possibly, it was a LONG time ago that i had it off haha.

One of them is an awkward fucker, need the flexy bits (well i did anyways) to do it.

Almost there XD

Are all the water pipes the same on the 16v thermo housing as the 8v ?

Did a little bit on this today.

All coolant hoses etc are now in, aswell as rad fan and covering, few other little bits fitted too

Stole the 2 speed switch from the breadvan and the expansion tank (put the nasty blue painted on in the breaddy lol)

Bled the system in that and it seriously burns my hands :o its insanely hot
