Lovely I don't know why I keep looking at these threads as its making my already miniscule bank balance even smaller

Looks like a toy car in that photo!

Looks mint in that pic. What's the grip like on them 145's?

lol, the tyres are pretty awful tbh. look so crap.

In the wet i give up, dont do anything i ask them to (worse than the budgets i ran on steels before), but in the dry are actually surprisingly good.

AFH delivers the power in a calm way though, so you wont have traction issues. Mine is the opposite way around so spins up constantly. That was with the 195 45 toyos too :-(

Had the tracking set up properly too.

Looks epic though dude!

Just read this for the first time, good effort mate! I'm sure I've seen it in the flesh at GTI fest last year :)

8v ftw Max it's all about wheel spins haha

Yours is a totally different story lol

The door looks a different colour than the rear quarter :ninja:

Nice snap.

Correct, because its been painted 3 times.

colour is the same actually, its the finish thats different as we could never match the amount of matting agent when we needed more clearcoat.

doors and boot are more matt than the rest f the car

As i cant get the roof done now until over winter (which will see a few other changes too) I did some bodging with a paintbrush

Came out rather well i thought, not noticeable from a distance, far better than a blatant scratch

Left the gutter bit as I'm putting the gutter trims back on, hides a lot of the mess, those trims.

I've been doing a few other jobs recently too
The engine bay is a lot tidier now, got rid of some shit i didn't like and neatened some other stuff. Quite happy with how it is now :)

Week of intense cleaning now ready for RollHard & Players

dude whats the spec of your wheels ? 13 inch? what width? Offset/et? did you do any arch work to fit them? suits the car well

wheels are 13x6 front and 13x7 rear. offsets unknown, rear arches have had the lips rolled.

The cats are for sale, onto bigger things...
Had my phase of being stupidly low, i want to go back to drivable again now.

Thats come on well mate, good looking!

Love this car. Need to have a little picture with mine and yours. Miss the days of going yours and doing engine stuff haha.

Lost all motivation for this again tbh. Garaged with no tax or MOT atm lol

Cheers tho guys :)

And Dom, next year man in the summer. we need to go for a drive somewhere. wales or summert. Weather is wack now for anything.

Loving it b

Lots of works gone into this! It really pays off!

Will hopefully see it next summer at some point :)

Cheers :D
I should be about at some shows, although i doubt itl be to many next year. Unless you fancy going across the pond ;) Main plan for next year is to miss most UK shows in aid of going to a few in Europe to see something different. Hence making the car a bit more drivable... will be doing a LOT of miles next year :)

Just wish it could be drivable and this low :-(
Hate that I'm parting with the cats :sorry:

Might MOT it next week.

What u been driving instead?

  • Author

A vast array of shoes  and occasionally a mtb

Luckily i can live without a car, its purely a luxury for me. Everything i need is within walking distance.

Lol not too bad then! It can spend more time in peices in the garage! Haha.

What you going to do?
