ahhwell, car wont be ready for action anyway, I've too much other shyt going on to be ploughing everything into this. Just isnt possible.

Picking an exhaust up in a couple of weeks though 8-)

PLS wont be making an appearance now until next year :(

tbh, i dont even want to do the car anymore, i want a G40 and not a gay AFH. I'm cutting corners and I'm not happy with the standards of things. Just cba :(

Daily mate.. Haha

It will be done, week after action I get paid, that pay should see it on the road.

I'll carry on buying things for it once it's on the road, lots of things I want still :)

I have massive plans for this tho... I'll never give up.

And most or the current running gear on this will ne swapped to something else for a daily whilst this is been done, again lol!

Long way away yet tho :)

Looks grest dude, in the pics with decent light!

Get it in and sorted, driveable, take it for a spin and enjoy, and you'll have the huge hardon you once used to for this thing.

I'm in the same boat, lost motovation for my coupe because i'm doing shitty filler work, and its not at my house.

Currently trying to pursuade my parents to let me build a substantial garage for it, down the side of the house!

pointless update but meh

Spent 5 messing with the boot, bought these possibly about 2 years ago lmao, brand new boot side carpets. Just need to get some clips to hold them in.

Decided how i want the sub in the boot also.

Need a G40 boot carpet now, hate this boggo standard thing.

Get that ^ get some thin wood, Draw around it, Cut it, carpet it . Jobs a gudden !!!

Was thinking of trying to just get an off-cut of black carpet from a carpet place.

Genuine G carpet is better tho lol, all black house carpet etc is thin!

Acustic carpet over thin wood ..

Wont sag in spare wheel well then dude

I have the boot carpet. Put it over my standard mat, which has a hard backing over the wheel well, so it doesnt sag.

Front spring rates: 300lb

Rear spring rates: 272lb

With Helpers at: 135lb front and 140lb rear

Again, so i don't loose it

Thinking of getting some new springs made, atleast for the rear. Not sure yet.

What would people say, bearing in mind this is going to be pretty damn low... I don't want it so soft that its constantly rubbing.

Rears are insanely hard when pushing them down. Moves but not easily.

preety damn low? i haz z competitionz? I think it needs to be stiffer!

You will still be lower, I'm not that mad!

But, i want it lower than my chassis legs allow. so i will be doing things to make them allow. Just looking into it now, I'll drop you a PM actually my love.

Stiffer???? lol!

stiffer dude... so you dont scrub! I'm taking the wheels off aswel. looking for some flat faced 14's... want stock back arches again and beam drop plates. beam is sitting against the body at the height i want. beam bushes wont last long either so NEED them. 15mm of extra poke isent doable with these wheels.

See that greyish flat lump at the bottom below the green? Thats the gearbox tobes....... MATCH IT!

them spring rates are crazy stiff for a polo man! and the helpers stiffness is laughable too, youll probably end up not even compressing them helpers having saggy suspension until it compresses onto the main spring

lol i bought 225 lb for the front of mine! haha

I have 225 front with 20lb helpers (iirc), and 180 rear, we shall see.

also eric, drives vauxhall golf lol lol ;)

Updates? What was in the £70 parcel left on your doorstep?
