What are you doing about your arches? Surely before you get stiffer springs you need to get them beat out to take some serious lows?

I will roll them when it comes to putting the pls on. No need to do um yet with the ra's

Ahh i see, watch the fronts... they split! if you pull them they crease and split where the arch liner holes are so either trim the inner skin back all the way round just behind these holes or weld them up so it folds uniformally.

I'm getting some pattern wings with no side reps and will have to do this so thought i'd give you a heads up :-)

Ha I was blatantly not paying attention, I just read something about stiffer spring and got carried away.

Like Ben said, watch for them holes where the arch trim fastens. I've had loads of issues with wavey arches in the past because of this.

I'm not too bothered about the arches, if i fuck the paint I'm gunna run trims. If not, happy days. Or just neither, and rag it for a year.

Will be having a full respray and whatnot when it next goes into hibernation anyway.

Its going to a powerflow place for fitment anyways, cba welding under a car on axle stands for new mounts and whatnot. They can modify the system a bit too if needs be, with bends etc.

if your running a mk3 sump consider shortening your downpipe. Thats the worst bit, guys was merked on his 1.0 8v (the blue one before 16v swop) and his current black ones SS exhaust i do remember him saying it was low. If your not going ''that'' low you'll be fine.

Might just ask um to weld a bit of a plate to the lowest point.

Shouldnt be too low, cant be arsed with the money involved getting low, ill go as low as possible as it is, if thats not enough then meh, itl do.

TBH with you its not hard to shorten. put 1" masking tape round it cut below the line and above the line join and weld. Its how i did mine on the 1.0.

on alot of the 4 branches they luckily go 4/2/1 so where it goes 2 its straight, cut and join there. :-) If you want to wait toby I'm shortening mine, i'll get you pics if you like?

No point getting it mega low if your wanting it to handle.

A properly heighted car, to suit its wheels etc looks better than scraping the floor low anyway!!!

It was very subtle when i had it on my g40 not loud at all.

Be just rite tobz.. 2silencers and a back box ? With carbs on over run will sound sickkk :p

Is the inline fuel gauge a permenant fixture? I remember when i set the FPR up on the metro i had a gauge in the blank on the side with a oil filled gauge, i got told it cant be in there long term as its not good for the gauge? Wouldnt mind one inline inside the car for long term so i can keep a eye on fuel pressure when on/off boost like.
