VW POLO MKII FOR SALE - SOUTHEND

Hi I'm selling my VW polo mkII as i'm planning on buying a diesel and cant afford to keep both! ):

RETRO metallic navy VOLKSWAGEN mk2 polo couple 1.3L H reg 1990 LOW MILEAGE (under 70K) 2 owners

Up for sale is my much loved Volkswagen polo mk2 coupe in metallic navy

2 owners, me being one of them

It was bought from new by a friend of my dads, Volkswagen serviced the car for 5 years

My dad is a mechanic and began servicing this car after

The car is pretty much all stock except the gear knob which is a 8 ball and the door locks which are 8 balls also. I also replaced the casette player with a CD player. No modifications have been made.

Sunroof, manual windows, standard alloy wheels

A fair bit of the engine has been replaced recently as there was a problem with the engine that i couldn’t work out, turnt out it was a cable going from the distributor to one of the spark plugs so only 3 cyclinders were running, but I stupidly used the process of elimination to get there:

The cables going from the distributor to the spark plugs have been replaced

The spark plugs have been replaced

HT cable has been replaced

Distributor has been replaced

Coil has been replaced

Fuel filter has been replaced

Engine has been tweaked to get perfect amount of revs & carburettor was cleaned

Doing all this seemed to put some life back in the engine and now the car is ridiculously nippy for a 1990 car and I think you’d be surprised how fast it goes for a 1.3L

Saying that, i enjoy this car most when i’m cruising at a low speed because it’s such a nice drive, the gears are easy to transit into. The car starts up every time, even in the winter it didn’t fail me.

The clutch was replaced 2 weeks ago, whole exhaust was replaced just before December & a few bulbs have recently been replaced. Passenger tyre was replaced in April. The fuse also went recently for the clock, CD player & interior light which I changed so there’s hardly anything that can go wrong now. Will also throw in some spare ceramic fuses and a lightbulb

The previous owner used to use the car for commuting so it has low mileage – just below 70,000

The exterior has various scratches all over – theres little patches of rust on the car and on the back the wrong colour blue paint has been used on a little patch.

They’re not severe enough to detract from the overall look of the car, and when it’s cleaned no-one notices it!

Theres also a couple of dents in the boot.

The interior is in ok condition, on the drivers seat there is some wear where I think my seatbelt rubs? Could do with a shampoo throughout as that’s probably 10 years of seat grime!
