Can't select gear, clutch pedal at floor

Hi there,

Not wanting to hijack your thread - don't think I am. A few questions from someone who's had the same problem if that's OK. What mileage did yours go at? I never noted it down but must have been only near 50K on mine when it went. I had a bolt through it for the next 50K and the same clutch.

At the beginning of the thread - your first picture. When I got a new clutch fitted (and a new pedal box the week later) the guy that fitted the clutch was insistent that you shouldn't take all the slack out of that spring in the picture (like you've got it). I can't logically see why but the guy said it shouldn't be adjusted like that. I know why you've got your like that cos I had to have it like that too when my pedal box was failing (even with the bolt through). Wondered if anyone knew anything about this? I've left slack in the spring but my bite point is lower than I'd like.
