Hi,

For sale: My 2.4D caravelle GL

I want to start by saying I’m trying hard to save for our first house/mortgage so something has to give.

Exterior wise she’s been lowered on heavy duty 40mm T4s R us springs and front torsion bar has been adjusted at the front to suit. She sits on Audi A6 wheels all in very good nick, front left has a slight curb graze, please note all tyres are load rated 102 with lots of tread! A must for caravelles! The long nose also looks a lot nice IMO. Body work is very good cleans up nice, no rust or rot anywhere.

Mechanically everything works as it should, the engine runs sweet doesn’t use coolant or oil. Yes the mileage is high but it’s a silky smooth 5 cylinder, its by no means fast and its pointless trying to make it go fast. Shes had an easy life, I sit at 65mph on the motorway (last trip was a 700 Cornish round trip!). The van has every tax disc from new and lots of receipts for various things (see above good points).

Interior has lino over the carpet in the back with a camping unit. Front seats are mismatched, one is a ford scorpio heated leather, the other is original but ill leave it up to you what to decide (I have another leather scorpio seat to match). I also have a 6th seat to include and fits in great even with the camping unit in. All electrics work so on.

Come and take a look for yourself, no silly texts asking if I will sell it for £900 and a stick of rock, me, my wife and the kids love this van and will be sad to see it go.

It would make a great camper conversion, this is not some glammed up crusty old cob of a builders van, insulated, carpeted and windows fitted at the factory!

Finally, I will take a P/X on a diesel VW no more than £800 in value preferably with a tow bar (tow bar on the van is for pulling my fishing trailer!)

Thanks! :)

NB: Will add more pictures when I get chance!
