Yeah but we missed the pic, chopped the back end off so deleted it. Saw James in the Passat too. It's annoying, I always see other people when I'm not in my car. :(

Not really a huge update, but I've been busy at work and not had a chance to do much but I have bought a few bits for it..

I've made a final decision on the spec for the turbo set up too

Been having debates on what to do interior wise, either stock or semi stripped with a full flocked dash and 2 recaro pole positions.

I may even sell off my hoard of rare parts as i will not be able to run the majority of them due to the turbo set up

sneaky pic of the manifold, rest is to come :)

Hey dude, nice to see you are looking after my old car. Bit of history...

My mate Gary brought it over to Northern Ireland from England, it had a shagged charger so he built up the eaton conversion and ran it for a while. I bought it around 97k and did bits and bobs (got it resprayed/smoothed/suspension sorted a bit/serviced etc) and tried my best to return some bits to oem. After a few years i parted with it for a clean VR6 (worst idea i ever had)..

Guy who got it was a fat lying bastard, he told me he was best friends with someone from pvw, and that he was putting in a porsche dash, spraying it cream to be featured and that on the way across to England it fell off a lowloader onto its side and the delivery man blew the bottom end taking it to the bodyshop and so it was scrapped. I heard almost a year later that it actually was traded for a lhd 2door jetta coupe. Who knows who has had it since, there was a few dodgy mods done when i got it and probably a lot more between us!

Glad to see its found a good home, its the best car I've ever owned. Youd need to have a look under the rear arches though dude and the battery tray was repaired very badly when i had it. It could have done with that eaton set up properly too, and it seems its gone through a gearbox since i had it too!

Good luck dude, hope you have many more happy miles in it, its looking even better now than when i had it!

Nice to hear back off you! Haha there was a few nasty bits which were tidied up. I'll be sorting out all of the bodywork once the engine is built and back in :)

Yeah it currently has a gt box which was fun but useless for distance driving!

Did you have any paperwork or bits laying around from it?

Nothing at all matey, i had a huge folder which went with it. I had here a brand new front bumper, nos front and rear g40 badges, doors, bonnet, leather g40 wheel etc but everything has either been scrapped or sold on in the last 6 months as I'm moving to canada now.

Keep up the good work man, i shall be keeping an eye on this.

Damn! haha. I need to get a pair of doors and I want a new bootlid as I want to run both badges again. I've got a new sunroof sorted as it was knackered but it will all go in for paint once the engine is built up and running! :)

Not really an update as such.. but I removed the rear arch trims a few days ago and it doesn't look too pretty on the one side, so I shall be on the lookout soon for a complete repair panel, along with the front
