oh hell yeh, i took it for a spin around the block when i managed to get the downpipes on, it was still insanely loud but the extra back pressure made it run properly and foooook me it was soo fast!!! it just felt as brutal as first in 2nd and 3rd!

They do move nicely with m30's, they have a nice broad power band. Lots of torque, not much use for first gear tbh

Have you got a slip diff? What gearbox/diff ratio are you running?

No lsd just yet for money reasons, so i have gone for a 3.64 open for now to get me through winter! I am using the standard e34 m30 box (same for sports also)

well i figured out a slight running issue the other night, basically it would splutter and hesitate under full throttle...

it was quite simply due to me disconnecting the battery when i have done with it for a few days, i just have to let it tick over for 10 minutes to let the ecu re calibrate and then she runs like a beast!

i have got the exhaust as far as the middle box now so it is still loud, but 'useabley' loud. So i had a proper drive around the block and bloodyhell it was fast! lights up the tyres in 1st 2nd 3rd and tears your face off!

really really cannot wait to get her officially on the road now! just got a few loose ends to tie up, and then tax/mot/insure and away we go :) not looking forward to the fuel consumption though, when i used the engine in the 5 for a week i averaged 15mpg!!!!

Well she is now officially on the road! And my god is it alot of fun! So tail happy its unbelievable!!

Well after almost 2 weeks of e30 335i ownership she is still going strong, i expected teething problems and maybe the odd breakdown by now, but nothing! She just works! :) give me a 3.5 to shoe horn into an e30 insetad of a carb'd valver into a polo anyday!

The daily 12-16mpg isnt great though...
