Camera related thing? Or we're you pulled over?

If there is a picture in this letter and you weren't pulled over, does it clearly show YOU driving? I might be missing something here but in this instance who is to prove it was YOU driving the car at this point?

I too don't recall the actual details being given by the OP. However, you won't avoid getting into trouble by "not being able to remember" who was driving the car at the time. The law is very much of the view that whoever is the registered keeper needs to come up with an answer or explanation.

You deserve whatever is given.

Any updates on the circumstance of the OP's ticket?

For the record, I was caught doing 36 in a 30 in April (speed trap - and only about 100 yards inside the limit, going down from a 40) and requested the evidence. I forgot about it, and eventually found the envelope containing said evidence in a pile of junk 3 months later, when I had a letter requesting I go to court.... I wrote an apologetic letter and honestly expected to have to go to court, and get massive fine and 6 points. Sent off said lettter with £60 in cash and license and got it back in 3 days with 3 points and no problem. It's not all bad!!

erm yeah well i haven't heard anything yet , dont know how long youre ment to wait but i sent it off over 6 weeks ago now and i got caught on the 26/6

but iv been thinking about it and i dont think i was going at that speed to be honest cause at the pod i was crossing the line at 55mph and thats on the flat ! still very unsure about if i was really going that fast towards a red light and a roundabout cause I'm not mental :p but when they get back to me i will find out wont i !

did you have a picture of your car though? If theres no picture i dont think they can prove it was even your car, as number plate Recognition isnt thought to be 100% accurate

But still, lesson learnt for next time :p if your gunne speed, don'get caught :grin: haha

As Dixy and I have both been asking, it matters what the letter said. You didn't get a note saying "I saw you doing 58 in 30 limit signed PC Bodger". You got some sort of formal letter like a notice of intended prosecution or did you got a speed camera picture and a fixed penalty or what?
